"In My Dreams" cancelled

Yes, the title is correct *sigh* unfortunately...
I have been trying to pick up on where I left "In My Dreams" what feels like SO long ago, but the simple fact of the thing is, I just can't... So many times I have re-read the chapters I've written so far, and so many times I've felt like throwing my computer out of the window after it... I've slowly come to realize, that I just don't have anything in my head to tell about Jonathan and whatever happens to him in Equestria. I've had several ideas for what would happen next, I've written dozens of chapter-sketches, and I've ended up deleting every single one of them. What started in my head as an epic tale, has diminished to garbage on my hard-drive. I could try and push out a few more chapters, but I know that I'd just be torturing myself and you readers with it. What I thought the story would be almost a year ago will sadly never happen...
I want to apologize profoundly for this unfortunate turn of events, but there's just nothing I can do about it. I just don't have the enthusiasm for writing this story anymore.
If anyone of you wants to know about the sketches and ideas I originally had for the story, please feel free to PM me and ask. I will gladly tell what I originally had in mind. Also, if someone feels like they want to pick up this story as their own and continue where I left off, go right ahead :) Please just tell me about it, because I would very much like to see what happens :P
Once again, I'm very sorry, but I have no regrets for this decision. Someone once told me, that first fanfictions have the tendency to do exactly this. I didn't believe them then, but now I do...

That being said, I will not just up and disappear from the writing world (though I think I kinda did for the last 8 months or so...) I have a new story in mind! And this one, I have planned much better, and I think it has much more potential than "In My Dreams" ever had. I will not start posting the chapters until I have at least a few of them written, grammar checked, double checked and re-read just to be sure :P The name of the story will be "Finding Home" and as for the contents, you'll just have to wait and see. ^^
