Woah. Guys, you gotta check this out. · 7:27am Aug 14th, 2013
As some of you probably know, I preread quite some stories. This always makes me hesitant to take on new ones, since, tracked stories, real life, attempting to write The Daily Unlife, wading through the binary bowels of Command & Conquer 1 (shameless non-pony activity plug ), etcetera.
However, about a month ago, CHeighlund posted a thread in the Queen Chrysalis's Changeling Swarm group, not asking for a prereader/editor, but just asking an opinion on story flow.
Since it was a one-shot of a size pretty much half of the average Fallout Equestria sidefic chapter, I told him I'd do it, but, sadly, I didn't get around to actually reading it until a few days ago.
The premise:
A small inn near the badlands is used as staging point for the invasion of Canterlot. The hapless hostess of the place sees her life turning into a nightmare as the changelings take over her inn and lock her up in a storage cellar.
This little story is so, so much more, though. It completely blew me away. It is a dark and magnificent tale of love, betrayal, brainwashing, and some insight into that mysterious figure that spearheaded the Canterlot invasion.
It is, in a word, brilliant.
So go take a look! You won't regret it
Broken Hearted - by CHeighlund
Note that this is not a light-hearted story. It definitely deserves its Dark tag. But don't let that stop you. It is a thing of beauty. Raw, gritty beauty. And since most of my followers are used to changeling stories, which do have the occasional dark tendencies, and the others got here through Fallout Equestria, that shouldn't stop many of you
darkness? DARKNESS!!
I normally say that a recommendation looks interesting - and then put it on my Read Later list before promptly forgetting about it. By chance, I decided to actually read this one. I am glad that I did.
To anyone else who passes through this blog, but isn't sure if they should give it a try: You won't regret it.*

Well, honestly, it takes something exceptional for me to feel tempted to make a blog just to recommend it
Whooo. Did not see that coming.
I came to your user page to thank you for favoriting Broken Hearted, Nyerguds. And then, this. Like I said, whooo.
I'm glad you're pleased with it, at any rate. Um, thanks for the plug? Sorry, I'm -really- not good when it comes to the protocol for this kind of thing.

Really. If I'd known what I'd be in for, I'd have read it the moment you gave me the GDocs link, no matter what else was waiting
Wow. Damn, I glad I checked out your blog posts, because I would have missed this jewel otherwise!
