SO!, in the next pokemon game of X and Y, we've been given confirmed news of the new typing being "fairy" and that there will be both new pokemon for this type and older pokemon re-typed for it as well.
Rumours flew about which pokemon would change and such, like pokemon in the "fairy" egg group and such. two confirmed pokemon were Gardevoir and Marril. In another instance Pikachu was rumoured to become part fairy type. While this has not be debunked there is news of the new pikachu clone being such. Where in we get "Dedenne" 
pretty similar hmmmmmmmm???? (pikachu)
Something else that YES is good for better typing but is BAD because they messed with one of my favorite pokemon! This pokemon would be Mawhile. Yes coming Generation Six Mawhile will be Steel/Fairy.

I saw that clefairy and jiggly puff will be fairy types.

yea but in the case of clefairy...cle"fairy".
And Mawhile special she was one of 5 pure steel types, 1 being registeel a legendary and the other three being the klink family.

Don't forget the 'mega-evolutions' they mentioned it would change a pokemon's abilities but maybe it would also change/add a type like fairy to it. I remember seeing the evolution of Absol and it looked pretty damn nice. So it's still possible they might do something like that

I thought that too but Bulapedia specifically says "Pure steel type PRIOR to gen VI"
Fairy Pokemon will be weak to steel and poison type moves.

Did you hear, there's apparently an new Pokemon mini-series in the works. Never played the games, but I'm a bit excited for it!
