It isn't a major problem (for the most part) but it is a problem none the less. It's a problem where a story that doesn't show up on your "favorites" list (I use it as a watch list) updates.
You're stuck seeing a constant 1 new update, but nothing you can do can let you see what story was updated. pressing the orange highlighted box itself redirects to a page with no stories on it, but still claims to have 1 story: "Viewing 1 - 1 of 1 stories" picture
and when I go to "View All Favorites", every chapter of every story is checked off. The story that was updated was done less than 24 hours ago (I dare say less than 12) but nothing I can see could be the updated story
That and the fact that I am only able to view 419 of the 448 stories in my favorites... the other 29, I have no clue what they are... nor can I find them, because it stops showing stories at the 42nd page, which only has 9 stories (though 90% is close enough that you don't notice) picture of the 43rd and 45th page
I've had similar problems, I would suggest to think if there are certain tags which aren't selected, such as the "Sex" and "Gore" tags, which will hide their respective charges; as well as seeing if you have "view mature" selected in your settings, also try searching for a small piece of a title such as "And" or "The" to show all stories with that in the title... also, You may simply have a bad internet connection

1) in response to "if there are certain tags which aren't selected", it isn't a search, but a straight up "tracking and unread" only (viewed from the URL of the first image)
2) I do have the "View Mature" set on, I even see a number of the mature stories on the "all favorites" page when I look for the unread story that way

4) it isn't a problem with the internet connection, the page uploads within a single second, it's what the page contains that I have the problem with (or should I say what it doesn't contain)
1231109 I know it isn't a search, but there is are filters on the page, and the favorites page was a search option; I'm simply suggesting that you try filtering out certain things in the favorites page when looking through it. also, if nothing else, I would suggest copying and pasting this into your browser bar to link directly to the "unread, updated" page http://www.fimfiction.net/index.php?view=category&tracking=1&order=updated&unread=1
1231116 I'm not sure how you think the search parameters work, but any alteration limits the search to "tracking, unread, and X" only. Which limits the search to something the story might not have, eliminating it from even the possibility of viewing...
1231130 That link should take you directly to your newest updated stories, The unread chapters should be marked with a small flame symbol fimfiction-static.net/images/icons/new.png next to the chapter name instead of a green check. fimfiction-static.net/images/icons/tick.png If no stories on the page have the fimfiction-static.net/images/icons/new.png symbol next to the chapter name, then there is no new chapter, and you simply need to log off and back on to see if it changes...
1231143 it's hard to tell if you're being helpful or trying to treat me like a dumbass... I know all of that already, none of the stories that I am able to see on my favorite's list have the flame icon on any of their chapters, only the check mark icons.
I have already logged out and came back to see that when I follow the link:

I'm used to it... on my old computer I actually saw an error message when it was trying to show the blue page of death... plus I already sent a note to knighty (site's main admin) about the error... but that was a day or two ago...

1231244 When it says "viewing one of two" it usually means that there is another one that isn't being shown, because it has been viewed, but not checked off
