I got a rather pleasant surprise in my email inbox last night.
I'll admit, when I submitted Body And Mind to Equestria Daily, I was nervous about my chances. The site's very selective about what stories it features, and I've known some solid authors whose works were rejected for mystifying reasons. Seeing my story on there, then was...almost unbelievable, really.
Being featured isn't only flattering, but it's sent my fic's popularity straight into orbit; my fic's close to doubled its previous view record already today, and I've gotten nearly 100 new favorites on it. It's good to know that Body And Mind has been able to reach so many new people, and if any of them are reading this, I hope you enjoy my story.
Anyway, I'd like to thank my prereaders for the time they've put in to help me improve my story. You guys have been a tremendous help by catching the mistakes and issues in my early drafts! I'd also like to thank everyone who has liked, commented on, and/or favorited Body And Mind. Knowing that there are people who have enjoyed my story, who are looking forward to new updates, who've gotten a new perspective on a show that has brought them together has made it all worth it.
Congratulation!
Thank you Starman, because if it wasn't for you writing, we wouldn't be able to enjoy this!
When I first saw Body and Mind at the top of the "popular stories" sidebar, I was happy and excited that it must have updated.
Then I was confused why my favorites showed no new chapters.
Then I was disappointed to see that it hadn't updated.
And then I was happy again to see why it was at the top of the "popular stories" list.
Congratulations!
Motivation, motivation, motivation!
Congrats.
Congratulations,
Congrats man, you deserve it.
Congratulations!
Congratulations, you absolutely deserve it. I'm glad it got featured, otherwise I may never have seen it. I rarely read changeling stories, since they tend to be so blatantly one-sided with either ponies or changelings as monsters. I was very surprised and pleased to see this wasn't the case.
