    Wait... what?

Huh? 'Poe nay'? What is 'Poe nay'? Some sort of Edgar Allen hate group? "Poe? NAY!! We don't want that drivel around here!!"

    ...

Wow, three months... three terrible months. Two months with barely time to breath leading into almost a month of crashed lower than the dust on a snakes belly. No pony for months... twelve bland weeks... an entire fiscal quarter...

    bar crawling

You know, I always thought the bar crawl was something only suited to cheap 'drunken frat' movies but... it really is an effectiver way to get around those pescky drink limits! Grab three or four drinks one place then switch places every half hour. It works great! And I only had to worry about looking sober for a couple of minutes at a time instead of trying to mix drinks while

    Deleteing comments

Don't ya just love when people delete comments and then they can act like people said whatever they want! Well I don't. It's rather cowardly in fact. "It's my story/blog so only opinions I like are allowed!" Well I have Blogs too! Look at all of my opinions I can put in my blogs!

    A Recent Reminder

Earlier today I was reminded of something... something about human nature. Something that a lot of people get wrong in one way or another. It's a subtle thing that is often referenced as a problem with today's society... the 'participation award generation'. The phenomenon where society says you have to give awards to anyone who 'participates' to any degree to avoid 'discouraging our youth'.

So, apparently any negative post is now flaming on this site and thus a bannable offense. Therefor from now on all you authors who want criticism to improve, or you know, help editing, are shit out of luck! So I will henceforth only be making inane positive comments that provide nothing to the author, or completely empty meaningless comments before giving anonymous dislikes. You know, since saying you dislike something is flaming.

People who publish and share their stories are, quite literally, asking for feed back and comments. I've already gotten banned once for posting comments that weren't all rainbows and glittery unicorn farts, so now I risk getting perma-banned as a 'repeat offender'. So... I can't really risk commenting on anything else since I self medicate with ponies and alcohol and alcohol is expensive, and apparently the law frowns on hitting people over the head with tables, whatever. Though, it only seems to be a problem when I say things to other people... when they start insulting me it's all ok! Nothing wrong with them doing that! When people start shooting their fat mouths off to me like they're hot shit insulting MY character or intelligence that's all PERFECTLY FINE!!! So, until I can afford to spend $300 a week on booze, I guess I can't actually post any real comments.

S o I don't have to keep typing out the same damn comments over and over, I'll just put them here so I can copy/paste:

[ORIGINAL COMMENT REDACTED FOR REAL CONTENT]
This story, it has words. Stories need to have words. There are also characters, they do stuff. That is also important for stories. This has all the requirements to be a story.

[ORIGINAL COMMENT REDACTED FOR REAL CONTENT]
This story, it has words, I like words. There are also characters, they do stuff. Stuff is fun to do! That is also important for stories. This has all the requirements to be a story. Yay!

Yep, there we go... neither really says anything but one says nothing in a neutral manner and the other in a positive manner, for the stories you really like!

Sorry if I offended you in any way.

I really do not mind criticism or bad comment. Heck, I even made some small changes when Opponent mentioned that Twilight was acting OCC and selfish in chapter 10.

It is just that you have made a very long negative reply to my comment about chapter what you didn't even saw. ( a bit different then if you would point out flaws in what I already wrote so I can improve them ). I guess when you assumed that I would ruin Nightmare Moon what is one of my favourite characters, I got hit in a soft spot.

If you want, I can send you a link to sequel where Twilight interact with Nightmare Moon so you can give me an opinion about her character base on what I already written about her.

Once again, sorry if I offend you.

1421814 Oh and, for any of the five or six people who actually see this... the first one is for negative OR neutral content and the second one is for any purely positive content... most of my comments are neutral.

1421816 No, this is old news. The blog is currently 13w, 4d old... the other guy just reminded me of this when I had to delete the first 8 comments I typed.... should probably replace this comment with a neutral redaction... eh, maybe in the morning. If I'm not banned.

I'm actually going back and redacting old comments on old stories... because someone new could always report them!

In all seriousness, why didn't you just challenge the moderator directly and politely, rather than this passive aggressive approach you're using?:rainbowhuh: As far as redacting everything, I think that's just outright wasteful (picture Twilight Sparkle's reaction! You are deleting words, and books are made of words:twilightoops:). As for me, I would rather be banned and make the moderators cleanup my comments if they're really so terrible. It's not like you can't at least read stories when you're banned, right? Plus, there's this thing called a VPN (now, whether you want to outright break the rules by using a VPN to circumvent the internet-standard "one account per user" rule (as it's worded on this website, "Abusing our systems is reason for punishment ranging from temporary to permanent bans. ") or not is up to you) if you are really desperate to use things like to read later list and favorite list, which are pretty much the only thing on the site that doesn't involve some sort of text submission. Heck, the first one could be replaced by a text document on your computer, perhaps in a synchronized folder like the folder dropbox provides. The second one is the same except for email notifications, so that could be a little harder, but still it's nothing much.

2338437 Current Read Later: 1,180
Current Unread Fav Updates: 440

That is 270 stories under Favs that would have to be individually monitored, every story from read later that gets read adds another. That is, ultimately, 1450 to keep track of individually by searching each one each day. Plus I have an unpublished I use to test formatting on the thing I edit.

In all seriousness, why didn't you just challenge the moderator directly and politely, rather than this passive aggressive approach you're using?

How? Have you been banned yet? Because they don't tell you shit. Vague reference to which rule, that is it. How do you construct a defense without know the particulars? Not to mention why would Knightly side with a random user against someone he made a mod? Not that they tell you who banned you, it could even be him and you wouldn't know. I still don't know which comment I was banned for, which makes it awfully hard to 'learn your lesson'. When I was banned I hadn't posted ANY comments in over two weeks, so anything you post from day one could get you banned if someone new decides to report it. Plus there is nothing stopping them from ruling based on their own personal bias. Oh, you said something bad about that story Mod-X/Knightly loved? Whelp, vague ass perma ban!

after having given it some more thought, the following cross my mind: "Why didn't Vates just inquire more information about the ban?" Surely, if it's a legitimate ban, one should be able to inquire from someone such as Obsolescence what submission was considered against the rules. If you don't get a clearer after sending 5 messages, you are either doing it wrong or have every right to be suspicious. At any rate, I don't feel like devoting much more time to helping on this matter. Good luck, and I hope you find a solid answer. In the meantime, perhaps laying off the drinking a little would prevent you from submitting something offensive? Just a thought.
