I've returned from seeing Equestria Girls, and I have written a review.
In short? It was actually pretty good. I know, right? I went in fully expecting it to suck. I really, truly did. It might not appeal to a non-bronies (or non-kids), though; half the fun for me was spotting all the little continuity gags and nods to the fandom.
Also, I kind of want to write a "Pinkie Watches Paint Dry"-style story about Trixie and the damned vending machine. She never leaves it. Perhaps it's the only thing that understands her.
And Trixie was wearing a hoodie! My headcanon is now that her favorite food is peanut butter.
Urgh to make a 2 hour pilgrimage to see this rising...
