I'm an editor now. · 7:58pm Jun 2nd, 2013
So before I get into the actual subject of this blog I'd like people to make a follow-up on my last one as to me being unable to write. I'd like you people to know that I have been able to acquire new motivation and I am currently writing. Hopefully I can have a new chapter done for Willpower some time soon seeing as though I'd like to finish that up. Seeing as though I'm two, possibly three chapters, away from finishing, everything else will still be on hiatus until then.
Anyway, on to the actual blog. I noticed a story the other night and normally I don't read many seeing as though most of my attention when I'm on this site is writing my own. But this one caught my eye. It's called Lightbinger of the Darkness, much like many of my own stories, it's about a guy going to Equestria and obtaining a supernatural power and having some sot of adventure. Now I know that there are already a lot of stories like this one, but this story trully is a wonder. It has a strong and well-developed character, a great introduction, as well as a mystery about this new power our protagonist has.
The main character is named Jack, a lonely 19 year old who's only happiness is MLP and wishes to go there one day even though he knows that's impossible. Like I said, this is about any other HiE fic there is. He meets a mysterious stranger, he's given a mysterious power, goes to Equestria and is dropped of near Ponyville and meets the Mane 6. But they are all anthro, some slight changes here. I'm only three chapters in and already captivated. But I've noticed that the author's story lacks in a few places. The people who havebeen with me for a long time will know that thought my time I have gotten better at writing. So I offered to be his editor. He agreed and now I am fixing up some parts in his work that look like they need improving.
Seeing that this story has such potenial but is not getting noticed trully hurts me. From my short description it may not sound too interesting to you people, but I find it an amazing story. So I'd like it if some of you, even one person really, would check it out and give it a read. The first two chapters are each less than 2,000 words, and are the only ones that I have currently edited. I don't think that he has posted the re-edited versions yet, but even without them it is a wonderful story to get into. So click the link, read a one or all four of his current chapters, and make your own opinion. Like I said, I think this story has potential.
The first thought that came to mind when reading the title was, "He's an editor" and then the "He's A Pirate" theme playing.
