Whats the deal with procrastination on writing?

Seriously, its driving me up a wall.

On some days, I'm able to sit down for 2 hours at least and write out some seriously good shit, but more often I find myself sitting with word or notepad or whatever writing program before me and no iota of wanting to WRITE anything even when the ideas are spinning in my head.

Well, i've been perusing a lot of the features FimFic has, having recently been shown by whatmustido and have recently begun putting my stories into groups, as well as following many said groups to see others with similar genera of writing they enjoy mixing with the wonderful world of Equestria. I must say, the fruitful desgins people put forward for these ponies certainly makes my head spin, from demons and monsters of Taratars and the Everfree to even figuring the Princess as something more than just benevolent beings.
Its cool shit to say the least.

Writing News:
Finished T-55Equestria, though its not all ready to be posted, I've begun editing the chapters and decided to have some fun with the story. Again, like Mind of Matter, it started as an AiE story, and after completing it, decided to post it here. Its actually more of a 'practice' piece for another story I'm doing called "Iron Hoof of the Motherland", which I might have mentioned in my previous log. Hopefully, when I actually get out of this stupid writing stint and get some serious work going, I'll be able to produce the rest of that story as well as Mind of Matter: Winds of Change, the second installment to the MoM Series.

Gaming News:
Playing Wargames: AirLand Battle. a massive scale RTS game (think Supreme Commander) based around the cold-war. Its a twist on if the cold war went hot and this second installment to the series adds the functionality of aircraft into an already massive battlefield. Playing either NATO or PACT, you pit your forces against others in the struggle for the European theater. S'why I wrote T-55Equestria in the first place. One of the PACT units is the T-55AMV-1 which can be chosen as a Main battle tank (you can get two units of 12, giving you 24 tanks in total). Its wonderful at long range but is weaker against heavier tanks. Its great because its a decently priced ATGM and medium tank that can support heavier tanks with long range fire.
I've also been playing Allen Wake (3 bucks on steam last I checked) and have become engrossed in the idea of a Writers story coming to life. I cannot wait to finish it and hopefully put something like that into a MLP story, cause, we all are afraid of the dark, just...its a lot worse in a land of magic.

Life News:
Ever had the enjoyment of purchasing your first car? I've never seen so much number crunching for something so simple... wait...scratch that, cars are NOT simple. Anyway, my father and I have begun the rigorous search for a car that I can use, considering we only have one and that I actually now have some money to start paying for one. I'm quite excited by the prospect of owning, or at least partially owning, my own vehicle that I can drive around. My grandfather told me, around the teens to late twenties, you have a choice of Freedom (Owning a Car) or Independence (Moving out) but not both until you're in your mid 30's. Personally, to answer that question, I prefer Freedom, because no matter what, you can go places with a car, do more for a job/career, and just enjoy the thrill of driving somewhere without any real intent on a destination; not to mention the money you put into it pays out and goes into Insurance further down the road. Moving out for Independence is fun, but its a money sink, unless you can a: Mortgage an apartment/house/condo or b: stay with a friend who owns a condo/apartment/house. Now, that's pretty cool, considering the place becomes yours/your friends, and you can do what you want, but its a massive financial strain and really, imo, not worth it.

Anyway, thats pretty much the gist of it. I got plans for the summer, work has been steady and the prospect of an extension to my coverage time is an interesting development, though, I do hope it won't last too long, because, we all know how too much of a good thing can be a bit of a problem...

Cheers m8's
