Update On My New Project!! · 12:09am May 22nd, 2013
Hello everyone! So sorry I seemed to have all but fallen off the grid for a while. My job has had me very busy. Why just last week, I worked 56 hours and was left rather exhausted. I'm not sure but I may end up doing 52 hours this week, so I'll have to see. When I have had free time, I've been working on my newest creative outlet - my story about the lovey guard pony Jeannedarc. This update is going to focus on her story mostly.
Now, before I get to Jeanne, I did want to take a moment to note how blown away I am by the overall popularity of my Celestia story - "You Brighten My Day"! Last July, when it first debuted, I never dreamed it would become so loved and enjoyed. Celestia's tale has finally overtaken my spa pony story, and I doubt the sun princess is going to stop there. Now, imagine my surprise as seeing her story has 1,063 favorites! WOW! That's a lot of people keeping an eye on it! So rest assured, chapter 7 is still in the works. I only hope you'll bear with me as I work on Jeanne's story in the meantime. But never fear, Celestia's story WILL continue! I've been enjoying its creation far too much to ever abandon it! Oh and just a reminder for Luna and Celestia fans, both princesses and their human partners will be guest starring in later chapters of Jeanne's story, so keep that in mind. ~_^
As for Jeanne's story, "Then There Was You", I have plenty of news for you. This morning, I finally gave my user page on here, a long overdue revamp. It's nothing fancy, but I was able to free up a custom module. I now have a place dedicated to Jeanne. There, you will find the progress on her story in a very in-depth fashion, as well as safe for work pictures I will be getting and posting of her. In fact I have two to share with you at the end of this blog. A friend and follower of mine did a sweet job on a pic of Jeanne and of just her cutie mark .
Currently, I have both chapters 1 and 2 drafted, they'll need a bunch of work, but they have come out nicely. For even more good news, I have both chapters 3 and 4 outlined, and will be starting on 3 once I review the last 2,000 words I did for chapter 2, last night. Currently the story is a little over 13,400 words, and that's not even the tip of the iceberg! Chapter 3 will see things heating up, and get this...there won't be any clop till chapter 4 and the first major love scene isn't till chapter 5. And I will again caution some of you as to Jeanne's naughty enjoyment of mild to moderate pee erotica, but that doesn't factor in till sometime in chapter 4 (and even then it's only the introduction to the concept). It's still only one of the many aspects this story is going to involve. I've also been making plans for the adventure elements of her tale, but come on, you have a guard pony and blacksmith forging swords, there has to be "some" adventure, right? I've also been chatting regularly with Jeanne's creator, and he's enjoyed the ideas I've come up with and even suggested a few of his own. He's still enjoying how well I've connected to his character, and I'm only too happy about that as well.
Speaking of connecting with his character. About the time we got chatting on Skype, I found myself growing even fonder of Jeanne, to the point I asked for his permission to have a plushy of her made. And well, my plush pony seller was only too happy to accept my commission, and here she is!

I'm very happy with how she turned out, Jeanne has already added to my already overwhelming level of inspiration and I suspect she will continue to do so in the weeks and even months to come!! I haven't had a drive to work on a story like this since my first novel, "Enchanted Destiny". So, I plan to follow this inspiration as far as my heart and imagination will take me. I've already been asked how long her story will be. I can't answer that yet, but I know this, it will be well over 30 chapters and it still might not be over by then. The ideas just won't stop coming!
I won't start major editing or planning to post chapter 1, until I've completed chapter 4's rough draft. So it will be a little while yet. I hoping to have some time to make major headway on chapter 3 this weekend. But with my job it's hard to tell. I greatly appreciate your patience and your continued support! I will always treasure having you as my loyal fans, followers and readers! Till next time, I bid you all, farewell!

As you well know with me and my love for those white mares, Jeanne now has a place in my heart, and is competing with all the others for a top spot! Although I'll have to step in and quell the storm, letting each and every one of them know I can't pick a favorite!
And I'm glad you're so excited about the progress you're making! It's going to make each turn of each scene all the more exciting, and with the adventures you're planning, gripping! I've been meaning to try my hand at some adventure-themed stories, but I have quite a bit on my plate (as you know very well), so it will have to take a back-seat to the romances I have planned. Besides, I'm more of a "tender, loving, feelsy" kind of writer anyways.
Rest assured, I look forward to this story once it's reached its "completion for posting" phase, and will judiciously support your endeavors, as I have in the past, and will continue to do in the future! Here's a toast to another great story!

I read it! When I saw the notice that you posted it, I was skeptical, but you did a very nice job portraying Jeanne. You did make me feel sorry for Rainbow, but she and I have come to terms with her story and she's okay with waiting, besides it's not like it will never see the light of day, it's merely delayed to ensure quality!

You know Jeanne has taken a strong hold over me and has a special place in my heart (always), so I can understand that she's done the same to you. And while I'm like you, more of a romantic and tenderhearted guy, I can't get the idea of epic adventure scenes out of my mind, not for the violence or anything but the scene where one of the two lovers comes to the other's aid, and though they lack the strength or power, they will still risk everything to save the one they love. The idea gives me goosebumps, just thinking about it. Besides the adventure element of Jeanne's story will only be a small portion of her story, but will be fun nonetheless.
Hopefully things will continue to go well. BTW, best to you and your current endeavors my friend!

I just realized where I got the idea of making my story's main character the son of a blacksmith.
If you think that might be a problem, I have a few chapters of the story already uploaded so you or someone you trust to look over it. Wouldn't want the author of several of my favorite romance fics to think I'm taking ideas.
Still looking forward to chapter 7 of Celestia's story, and I'll be anticipating Jeannedarc's story even more now.

Not related to love, but when I was in the military, I would have gone through hell and back and risk my life to help out a fellow soldier. Partially because it's ingrained in you from training, but it's the way I am naturally.

It doesn't sound like you're taking ideas from me, and I'm kinda flattered my story gave you the idea to have your main character be the son of a blacksmith. I don't foresee any issues with this. Right off the bat, your char is the son of a blacksmith, Galen is not. Plus your story is an all human and no pony story, so that sets it apart as well. Does your char follow in his father's footsteps as a smith?
Also glad you're looking forward to Celestia and Jeanne's stories. And I appreciate your consideration.

As for Equestria Girls, I'd need to watch it first to form a proper opinion. Honestly at face value, I'm not feeling it. I love the ponies because they are ponies, to suddenly make a different world where the pony characters are pastel colored humans just doesn't do it for me, but I'll be sure to give it a chance before making any absolute judgements. Who knows, it might be a blast.

Oh yes, I have really fallen for Jeanne. She's the same as my other plush ponies, standing 17 inches tall from head to hoof. She's very cuddly too!

That night, as Daniel and Celestia lay in their bed, neither found they could sleep; both groaned softly, restless, tossing and turning. Such was the case for quite some time, until finally Daniel gently stroked his beloved mare's neck. "Mmmh... Celly? Are you awake?" asked he.
A sigh of frustration was the response that the Princess Pony returned until she finally answered, "I am. I... I don't understand it, Daniel! Why can't I sleep? Court was fine today; there were no pressing issues with negotiating the trades of rarer minerals from our allies... I don't understand! I just can't sleep! It's... it's like... there's something missing..."
As Daniel moved to stroke and caress his beloved mare - in an attempt to soothe and quiet her restless mind - the answer as to what was 'missing' was revealed unto them both; there came a flash of purple light as with a displacement of air, a lavender pony mare teleported into the room. "Twilight..." Celestia breathed softly, for it was indeed her faithful student. Twilight Sparkle.
Though she was usually an orderly and relatively composed mare, now Twilight Sparkle appeared anything but composed as she made her way over to the restless pair within the bed; the lavender mare's mane was unkempt from tossing and turning, she had awful bags beneath her eyes and her muzzle was wet, stained with tears of frustration. "I... I..." - she sniffled - "I couldn't sleep, Princess... I... I needed... I needed to..."
Wordlessly, Celestia nodded and then - as Daniel temporarily left the bed - the Princess of the Sun nicker-called to her... to her... her... "Daughter?" called she, softly. "Sweetheart, come be with your mama, now... There's a good filly..." Hiccuping softly - sniffling, struggling to hold within yet more tears of frustration - the poor little pony complied, hopping into bed and snuggling foal-like against her mentor's - no, her mother's - barrel. A moment later, Daniel rejoined them in the bed, and then... and then...
"Oh...!" Celestia breathed softly as she and Daniel held Twilight close, stroking and soothing her with wing, hoof and hand. Finally... finally something clicked within her mind: this was the reason for her and Daniel's restlessness! Twilight had been the reason why she'd been unable to sleep. Her daughter was what had been missing. Her daughter... As she nickered softly to Twilight - her Twilight! - and nuzzled her gently, the ancient pony instincts within her - instincts which had been screaming, "Foal is not here! Where is foal! Find foal!" - finally quieted.
Likewise, as she felt Cele-- Celest-- Celesti - no, Mama! - nuzzle her and stroke her, and felt her Papa doing the same, the ancient pony instincts within Twilight Sparkle - instincts which had been screaming, "Mama and Papa are not here! Find Mama and Papa! Safe with Mama and Papa!" finally stilled as the little mare wriggled and cooed happily, soft whimpers escaping her as she bathed in their affectionate touch! Mama and Papa wouldn't yell at her or make her cry. Mama and Papa would never hurt her. She was safe in Papa's hands and under Mama's wing... As her parents continued to softly touch, kiss, and caress her everywhere with hand, hoof and wing, little Twily giggled, wriggled, and stretched happily. And then, her eyes widened - a gasp escaping her - as softly, her Mama started to sing...

The song was called "Gypsy"; written by a woman named Suzanne Vega. Daniel had introduced Celestia to her albums when they'd been on Earth and Celestia had fallen in love with the gentle woman's folk songs, one of which she now sung to Twilight. By the time the song was done - the final note fading unto silence - the little lavender pony mare was asleep, her breathing deep and easy.
During the daylight hours, both knew that she would once again be Twilight Sparkle, the Element of Magic, and Librarian of Ponyville... but at night she was theirs. She was their adopted Daughter and neither Daniel nor Celestia could ever conceive of their lives without her in it, especially cuddled between them in their bed.
Woe befall any pony whom felt differently about this odd relationship the three shared because - as far as Daniel and Celestia were concerned - Twilight Sparkle was meant to be there; was meant to be with them, and Twilight, they knew, felt and thought the same despite how embarrassed she felt when she would wake of a morning. With time, they knew, the embarrassment would fade. Gently folding an arm and a foreleg over her body - Celestia and Daniel followed their daughter into her dreams...
