That said, watching the trailer gave me the same shit eating grin that I always get from watching silly ass teen girl comedies. It is disappointing they're giving this the theatrical treatment, as I have not now, nor do I ever intend, to watch an episode of My Little Pony while sober. The movie must be brought to my house, because that is where my liquor cabinet is.
I'm intrigued.

Well I'm not disgusted by the premise and concept of the movie, but I'm not very excited either. I don't exactly see any plot elements from the trailer that would keep me immersed in the film, and the thought about Twilight meeting a boy doesn't reassure me either. (Hope this movie doesn't have a romance tag hooked to it.)
On the other hand, the movie's soundtrack sounds pretty good so far, and I'm glad they're still using the same voice actors for the Humanized versions of the Mane 6. (Of course, we all know that it'll be suicidal if Hasbro used new VAs for the movie's main cast that we all know and love.) The new OC, Sunset Shimmer, is also attention-catching as well since she seems to be veering towards the path of a new "Trixie" character. While her character concept as one of Celestia's students isn't new in this fandom, it'll at least break down the walls the fandom has placed around OC creations and how limited they can be without being called out as Mary Sues. Of course, that is if Shimmer will end up as a memorable character that we'll learn to love and grow alongside with.

I seriously don't see why Bronies have to overreact to everything. Do they not have enough drama in their life? Seriously, the Twilicorn period was a flankload of Bronies screaming out "Oh no!" or "HELP ME, I DON"T LIKE THIS IDEA!" and a flood of wasted tears. In the end, Twilicorn ended up to be okay.

Well, I already hate it, they actually seem to try and ship Twilight.... Yeah, that ruined everything, I will still watch it, but that makes it an instant not too happy (I almost never take any movie of a serialized cartoon/anime as part of the regular series anyway, so whatever.)
I watch MLP, I like Twilicorn, I will probably like this, the biggest up of this is that it's longer than 40-50 minutes(usual two parter).
Not a fan of the character design (are their limbs made of twigs?! Similar problem I had with Littlest Pet Shop's character design...), but I'll probably give it a shot. Maybe not in theaters, because frankly I almost never get around to seeing stuff I want to see while it's still in theaters. (This applies to pretty much any movie I express interest in, ever. I end up watching it on DVD/Blu-Ray or on Netflix.)
Possible Love Interest™ looks like he might be a Soarin' analogue. Which would actually be extremely interesting if Twilight formed a relationship with the "real" Soarin' and Dash got a spot on the Wonderbolts.

What was the motivation behind making this? Couldn't they have just used the money and made a better season ending? Why must all these cartoons be focused around high school and "how challenging it is". It is not challenging, I survived all 4 years no challenge at all. And those arms, are they all anorexic?

I don't understand the rage behind everyone freaking out. We all gave My Little Pony a chance, didn't we? So why can't we give the same writers and VA's the same chance in a much longer space of time?

It says years ago she was Celestia's student. How many years are we talking about here because by the look of it she's close to Twilight's age. Unless of course there is some kind of time dilation that while she barely spent any time there years passed in Equestria. If so then by the time Twilight gets back everyone, except the Princesses, will be dead.
