Even if I have to write through the night, there will be a new chapter tomorrow! · 11:30pm May 8th, 2013
Funny story. Monday morning, I pinched a nerve in my back, so I've spent the last two days doing my best not to sit. As you can imagine, it was pretty hard to get anything done. I promised you guys a chapter though, so even if I have to work through the night to have it ready, it will be posted by tomorrow morning!
I'll be sticking around, keeping notifications on, so if you're online this evening, feel free to stop in and say hi. I'll need the occasional break, and talking to people is always a good way to have one.
Hey, man. We would love to see AJ wreck some shop, but don't push yourself too hard. Need a break, you can chat with me.
Hey!
You're awesome.
1064222 Lol, thanks man.
1064219 No worries sir, I won't push myself too hard. Both an absurd ability to go too long without sleep and being happiest when working hard run in the family, so I'm in my element here. Also, that is exactly what she's doing this chapter, so I'm glad it lines up with your expectations!
1064233
My body is ready, good sir!
1064330 Yours might be, but those mooks won't know what hit them! It's not every day that a dead-mare comes after them.
1064340
Now, I have to reread the last chapter to catch up.
Oh, I'm not complaining! Just saying.
1064358 Lol, I hope you enjoy it again! I'd have the next chapter out within the hour if fight scene's weren't so damn hard. Also, TIL that there's only a 32 bit version of Skype, which is why it occasionally mucks up on my 64 bit operating system. Really, how difficult would it be to have both versions?
1064375
I have NO idea what you're talking about!
I'm not a big computer guy, but understand a bit. Skype isn't the most user friendly system these days. At FOB Equestria, we use TeamSpeak for voice communications.
1064404 I will have to look into this TeamSpeak. Also, FoB Equestria?

http://www.fobequestria.com/
Military-themed brony website, for and by active duty bronies. I do fan fiction reviews:
The Immortal Game
Double Rainboom
1064450 Sweet Jesus, that is awesome. It's taking considerable force of will for me not to peruse that site while I should be writing. Are police officers welcome there in addition to military servicemen/women? I'm currently going through the recruiting process for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (Canadian Federal police force, most don't actually ride horses), and my prospects are looking pretty good.
1064463
NO! IF YOU'RE NOT MILITARY, YOU CAN NEVER LOOK AT IT, OR WE WILL FIND YOU!!!
:P Welcome aboard, mate! And it's awesome to know that I know a Mountie! Wasn't that the name of the wrestler who always had the cattle prod?
1064497 Lol, I have no idea. Also, not quite a mountie yet, but it's looking pretty good. A university degree and rocking the aptitude tests seems to have helped. If anything positive happens in terms of getting hired, you folks will definitely find out. I'll also have to check out your reviews once I'm done this chapter.
I've got a style question for you. When I'm describing physical interaction between characters, either friendly or combat, is it silly to use horse terms like withers and barrel? Should I just use shoulders and chest instead? I'm not really sure on that one.
Lastly, should have known a US Army drill sergeant would know what the RCMP is. I'm just used to mentioning them online and people going, "wut?"
No, I love the horse anatomy stuff. To me, it adds immersion. Like saying "mane" instead of "hair." After all, they ARE ponies, so that terminology is fine, and it makes it feel more real, IMHO. Again, in canon, they use "anypony" and that makes no damn sense. Also, in Suited For Success, Rarity sang about "Croup, Dock, Haunch," so it's not unheard of. I say go for it.
Random thought: I feel proud of myself that I have refrained from making any Strange Brew jokes since I found out you're Canadian.
1064534 Thank you sir, I feel much better about that now. I'll just add a glossary in the author's notes, both for horse anatomy and period slang. Also, I laughed out loud when you mentioned Strange Bew. I haven't seen that movie in years, probably more than a decade! That is definitely on the list for my next movie night.
1064557
Oh, it's a classic! To my understanding, Strange Brew is to Canada what Deliverance is to the American South: pretty much required viewing.
I'm off to bed, but I can't wait to read the chapter when I wake up!
If ever we meet, I'll be sure to bring a mouse in a beer bottle.
1064587 Lord, now I have to watch it! Glad to hear it sir, it will be edited and ready for your reading pleasure!
1064222 1064587 Eleven hours and five thousand words written and edited, but I did it! It is done, and I feel like a badass! Not to go for a walk and watch the sunrise! Thanks for dropping by this evening!
