This is half me venting, and half a letter to knighty.
With the latest changes to the site, I will admit that I (along with everyone else) was caught by surprise. We all could've done with a bit of fair warning, which would have made the transition a tad bit easier. Despite the rough start, I've found myself becoming more and more used to the (not-so) new changes as the days go on.
However, there is one thing that irks me, and I am of the impression that it is not due to personal preference...
When I go into the settings and change the color scheme and background of the site, and I hit save, I expect it to save - which it does... for about a day. At which point, it reverts back to the default. When I hit save, I expect it to save, damnit! Not just temporarily, but until I get tired of it and change it to something else!
I mean, seriously, has no-one else encountered this?! I find that hard to believe.

This asshole takes forever to add stories, rejects it half the time, but, oh no, if want an explanation? Fuckin' forget it. It takes the bastard three weeks, three weeks, for him to respond with an unhelpful, incomplete sentence. Want a real answer? Are you really that desperate for one? Oh, um... he stops responding. And back on the subjects of response, here have been his answers for not accepting a story, word for word, copy and pasted:
"it needs an alternate dimension tag"
"the entire thing needs to be in English" (three sentences in german. three.)
"needs to be mature" (one person dies)
"this is meta" (the "metas" weren't real. no one in the story existed.)

While I will agree that he could stand to elaborate, judging by the given responses, those appear to either be possibly legitimate, or based on personal views.
The German sentences, as long as they're in dialogue (or a sign or something), are acceptable as long as they're in italics.
The mature tag for death, I disagree with. Unless he was dismembered with a chainsaw and crushed to a bloody pulp (described in graphic detail).
The one about being the characters 'not existing' can be achieved in so many ways...like, in a dream, actually finding out they're in a fanfic, products of a spell, etc... The legitimacy of that excuse is based on the specifics.
Wow. Here I am, defending a guy I've never even met. Does that make me a good person or a bad one?
