The Reasons I Write What I Do · 3:37am Apr 10th, 2013
The first story:
The first story I wrote, Legacy of the Rider, was simply the spawn of me being bored, at home, slow internet, and just messing around with ideas in my head. I eventually thought "Hey brain, let's write a fanfic on the season finale!" to which I thought "How would I do that?" and brain answered back "Dragons are cool!" I also settled on Rainbow Dash's home as being the home of Taro because, well, Rainbow Dash is best pony. The beginning should probably be edited.
The Second Story:
The Legacy of the Rider wasn't at first intended to be a trilogy or even to have a sequel. I just decided one day that I felt like doing Discord.
Romance Aspect:
The romance part of Legacy of the Rider II was never intended either. In fact, when I wrote the first one, I thought to myself that it WOULDN'T be a classic Human in Equestria fanfic. I thought that Taro SHOULDN'T fall in love with a character becuase, let's be honest, it probably wouldn't work out that great. I did the Taro x Rainbow for one reason and one reason only: Filler. Legacy of the Rider II felt too short originally and even still it feels too short. I wanted a reason to make it longer, so I decided hey, I'll have a few chapters with Taro and Rainbow.
The Third Story:
Simple answer: I felt like it. I don't think I can actually come up with a better reason other than that.
Time Fetch:
Again, I felt like it. I went off of what I wrote at the end of LotR III and just made Time Fetch. Honestly, anyone with a suggestion for a new name, I'm all ears. I can't think of a better one and the title is kind of misleading.
