My First-ever Fanfiction and Secret Shame: Phantom Shadow · 5:00am Apr 4th, 2013
A long time ago, there was a young colt named... let's go with Sirus. Sirus was a young lad, easily impressionable and brimming with ideas. Sirus had a young friend named... let's go with Shaw. Shaw was brimming with life and enthusiasm, and infrequently - thought passionately - expressed her thoughts through a magical medium known as "fanfiction"
Sirus was amazed by such a thing. Who knew you could adopt ideas and create new ones with it!? But Sirus had a very, very big problem: he didn't have any idea how to start! Sirus brainstormed for even more ideas. What was he passionate about? Why, a new show he was watching, of course!
And thus, that young lad named Sirus wrote a fanfiction about one of his favorite TV shows: The Teen Titans.
Aaaaaaaand it wasn't that good.
All romaticization aside, this is indeed my first ever fanfiction. These are the first two chapters, each an impressively long 10,000 words for such a young mind. I had a third chapter, but that has long since been lost to time. I may have a harddrive of one of my three broken computers on hand with it stored away, but that would be a fool's hope. I may find it some day, but for now, I will leave this story as it is, mistakes and all. Let what you are about to read be a lesson to you all. No matter what you may write, no matter if your ideas become great or you feel like they deserve to be on the quill of someone greater, never forget your roots. I haven't forgotten, and now, it will never be forgotten via my fans.
Nevertheless, I have a special place in my heart for Phantom Shadow; I would have never started reading and writing here if I hadn't. Originally, Phantom Shadow was going to be an expansive epic, but my ideas far exceeded my talent for writing. I'm still pretty shoddy at writing, but after you read Phantom Shadow, you will realize I was FAR worse.
Take what you will from this. Admire its qualities and ambition, and poke fun at a childish writer's first attempt and idealogical exploration. So, without further ado, here is Journeyman's first ever fanfiction, a humble story about two obviously not self inserts in the western animated Teen Titans TV show.
It will be read.
