I wish my firends weren't so close minded. · 7:22pm Mar 23rd, 2013
I really wish my friends weren't so close minded.
I told them I liked the show a while ago, can't remember exactly how but it was around the same time I joined this site (January).
I finaly chained one to a chair and made her watch half a episode just so she could stop thinking I watched a show like G1.
She basicly sat there and looked at me scilently judging me until I turned it off. When I asked her what she thought of it all she said was 'I can believe you watch a show for little girls.'
WHAT?
'Yeah, but, what did you think of the characters and the plot and stuff?' she shrugged and said it wasn't as abismal as every other childrens show out there, but she wasn't really paying attention.
YOU DIDNT' EVEN BOTHER TO WATCH IT AND YOU'RE JUDGING ME?
From what I can tell there are no bronies at my school or anywhere near where I live, so the only place I can really talk about it is here.
So, I'm just leaning on you guys for support here. I'm going to Bronycon this year (SQUEEEEEEEEEEEL!!!!!!!) and I really can't wait to properly talk to actual bronies, but I wish I could at least mention the show without my friends thinking I'm completely out of my mind.
So, what do I do? Just not talk about it ever? It's not like I talk about it alot, but when ever I do they start lecturing me about it.
One of my friends also said that the fan art we do wasn't 'real art' becuase it was ponies.
Ok, I love the fanart we do so much nd I think the artists are mazingly talented. So I stuck up for them and got propely pissed.
SHE HASN'T EVEN SEEN THE FANART, SHE CAN'T EVEN BE BOTHERED TO LOOK AT IT. SHE CAN'T JUST JUDGE IT LIKE THAT RIGHT?
right?
So, yeah just a rant to get things out there, because this is literally the only place I can go to talk without being judged. You get me, right guys?
bye!
That's rough, but as long as you're having fun who cares?
Also take pictures at BronyCon! I was going to go to BUCK but a lot of friends cancelled and I have family coming over so it's not really convenient.
Well I agree that's harsh but I can understand to a level also about the fan art thing I agree to a degree only because my view on art is different but they are good non the less
