"I Want A Pony." · 6:25am Mar 19th, 2013
So, my 23rd birthday's just around the bend, and so my folks asked me if there was anything specific I wanted for it.
So I looked them dead in the eye and said with a perfectly straight face, "I want a pony."
They laughed, of course, but they have no idea how dead serious I was...
Then again, I also asked for a gasmask, just for sh*ts and giggles, and considering half the things that come out of my mouth, it's a wonder they ever take me seriously to begin with. Seriously, don't let the tone of my writing throw you; in real life, I am a complete goofball.
Anyway, onto more pertinent topics.
As you all know, The Irony of Applejack is winding down, with only two chapters left, and with any luck they'll be out in a more timely manner. With spring break coming up, I should be able to devote more time to the completion of this series, so hopefully there'll be no more week+ wait times between them.
So hang in there; I'll try to get you guys to the end of this ride as soon as possible. And then... we'll see where we go from there.
Both ideas are rather admirable, even though the former may be closer to extreme in expense. Though, I have no idea what the price would be for a pony. Gas Masks, if taken seriously are about Fifty American Dollars. Either way well, have a quote.
For one who reads, there is no limit to the number of lives that may be lived, for fiction, biography, and history offer an inexhaustible number of lives in many parts of the world, in all periods of time.
- Louis L'Amour
Happy early birthday. Don't worry about the delay. You were sick. I haven't worked on my story "My Soul to Keep" in months and instead took up the job as editor for other authors and writing critic here. I must say, I didn't know about this story when I first saw it, but once I gave it a chance, from chapter 1 on, I've been hooked. This and anything having to do with NYC are my face by far. Keep it up!!!!
