A chance to give Mane6 a helping hoof! Ponies or not! · 3:38pm Mar 16th, 2013
For the maybe seven (I'm being generous here) of you who read my scatterbrained thoughts I come here with nothing but the most honest, serious and utterly hopeful of intentions. Mane6, the crew that was developing the beloved MLP: Fighting is Magic game that was hit with an absolutely devastating cease and desist order have been given a chance for something far greater. For those not in the know, Lauren Faust has signed up onto Mane6 to create new designs and characters that while they will replace our beloved cast of ponies, are none the less being designed by the goddess (if all the fanwork of Fausti-corn are to be believed) of pony herself. Ok, this is old news, awesome news but old news. This is the new news: Mane6 has a deal with MikeZ to obtain a free license of his engine that was used in Skullgirls IF the Skullgirls indiegogo fundraiser hits 725 thousand dollars. For those of you who don't know who MikeZ is, he's a game developer (working on said Skullgirls game) and also a pretty famous member of the fighting game community.

As of this posting the fundraiser is at about 414 thousand dollars. For those of you who still want to see what the Mane6 crew can do, give a helping hoof to the Skullgirls fundraiser. Mane6 is in a rather unprecedented position to make a game that could surpass everyone's wildest expectations. Hell, they already DID! I personally wasn't expecting Fighting is Magic to look as good as it turned out to be!
Even if you can't donate, get the word out! Make a similar blog post to your own readers! Just get the word out soon because the fundraiser is almost over! Let's show everyone out there (well, mostly the Fighting Game Community) the power of our community! Let's help Mane6's wildest dreams come true, because they were willing to make ours come true (if said dream was a pony fighting game. It was mine!).
Okay that's a little annoying that the date is gone, but I have a couple of questions about the Mane 6 if you don't mind me asking.
