    Rewriting Everything

916589 I think you mean "Slowly but surely." Surly means "bad-tempered". And you also mean "strategy". This comes from the same linguistic phenomenon that makes people say "nook-yoo-ler" and "I want to axe you a question".

916822 Exactly. People switch the sounds on some words, and those three are probably the most common: strategy, ask, and nuclear.
