It's not against the rules of this site to advertise merchandise and fimfiction is one of the biggest Ponyfiction sites out there so it makes sense to do it here .

I like his stories, but not so much that i would buy a T-shirt .

That's actually pretty cool. I can support MLP in public, and the people I pass on the street will think I'm an axe murderer and not a brony. So it's win-win (because I really am an axe murderer and a brony.)

Something I expected, and you're cool. I freely acknowledge that this is known as "selling out".

If it helps, I only make a dollar or so off every item sold. I kept the commission rather low because I wanted fans to be able to get the shirts more than I wanted to make a killing off them.

(So you know, though, there's no Terms of Service saying Fimfiction is a "entertainment/stress relief" website. It's a tool for MLP authors to get an audience and a tool for audience to get good stories.

As an author, and not just a hobbyist, but an actual writer trying to make a living, Fimfiction is just one of many sites available to me for promoting my work and, if I work hard and do a good enough job, earn fans and followers who feel I deserve support.

If no one ever buys a shirt, I lose nothing. I will continue to write, and I'll always strive to write better, regardless of sales. It's all just supplemental.

I too am an author, but I just do this for the entertainment of others. in fact, after I am out f high school, I am going to Norway to become a marine Biologist. My back-up plan is to be an Author. That is when I am going to focus on money.
