so i have this fanfic idea about celestia and luna, a little slice of life, but i dont plan to write it for quite some time
however, a little while back i wrote a poem in the setting of the fanfic so i figured i share that here
once i actually write the fic ill probably tack this on as a mini bonus chapter or whatever
dont need to explain the fic much here, but the basic setting is long ago, celestia and luna are the main characters and much younger, they are princesses but they dont rule they just live in the castle with discord who is king. and discord forbids them from doing things like controlling the weather cause he wants it to all happen naturally. thus, the poem:

I Prefer the Weather My Way

Daybroken flight we hit the sky
Our laughter shared this time our play
Though strict he bid where boundary lie
Ascend we bringers of the rain
We dance along each beat our wings
Give gusts enough for trees to blow
With speed like ten quick pegasi
The landscape moves passed fast below
One moment just we separate
In search of clouds all air throughout
Then gather them as fast our gait
In want to cure our playtime drought
We prance atop to goad them fall
Then glide beneath a cooling soak
But cut short flee to beckoned call
Return quick lest suspicious host
And innocent our smile to say
How nice it is the rainy day
