Cloudsdale Congress, Ask Me How! · 9:22pm Mar 1st, 2013
Did that Twixie pic get your attention? Good.
So, if you haven't heard yet, next weekend, if you're in the Greater D.C. area, there's going to be a convention in the Alexandria Historic District at the Holiday Inn, Cloudsdale Congress. If you live in the D.C. area (hell, anywhere withing driving distance of the D.C. area), have $45 to spend, and a couple days to kill, you should come check it out. There'll be lots of things to do over the weekend, including the first ever teaser screening of the fan-made episode "Double Rainboom". Also, I may or may not buy you a beer (assuming you're over 21).
Plus, if you like fanfiction, which if you're reading this you probably do, I'll be on the fanfiction panel along with my arch rival Pav Feira where we'll talk about ways to improve your writing and Show vs. Tell, etc.; you know, all the typical stuff. But, if you enjoy my particular brand of rambling, then you may interested to know that I'll be doing a segment on my two favorite genres: [Dark]/[Adventure], where I'll most likely talk about how everyone else does it better than me, after which you'll be able to ask us questions like, "Why are you so bad at writing, Alex?", "Have you ever not been terrible?", "Why are you even on this panel?", and "I want my money back...".
Hey now, that last one's not even a question...
Anyway, it should be a ton of fun regardless. Even if you hate me though, you should still totally show up and talk to the other cool people who will be on the panel, and at the con. I hear Michelle Creber's going to be there, too, so y'know, there's that. Also, there'll be loads of music and art related things going on too. So yeah, you should definitely come say hi, yes you. Yeah, you right there. Come say hi, you.
Besides, there's going to be so many snacks there, it's going to be like Snack City. People will just walk in off the street because of how many snacks there are.
Anyway, back to putting the finishing touches on Chapter 19 of Letters.
spoilers: Things happen... Also, I say "anyway" a lot...
Sounds fun! Best of luck!
