You can only hope it's nothing personal and that there's really something wrong with your story and not just some asshats with a minor personal vendetta or something like that... but you'll never find out cos they're too chicken to put it in words.

I don't know if it means that the story wasn't as original as I thought, or that the voter doesn't like the genre generally, or they thought it should have been done a different way, or they found errors, or... They just don't like me? AHHH!
I don't get the point of the downvote system at all. If they REALLY have a problem with the story then they should comment! Why do they need the ability to anonymously put authors down?

If you don't like the genre, don't open the fic. Is that so hard to understand for these people?
