PrettyPartyPony posted her first story tonight, Whispering Stars. I don't know where chapters 2 and later are going, but you should read the first chapter if you like expansive head-canon philosophizing about Luna and Celestia. Lots of clever head-canon packed into a small space. Don't read it too quickly. It may take some re-reading to appreciate everything that's being said. It may help if you realize that in this story, "Pride" is a virtue, not a vice, and "Tyranny" means something much like destiny.
The idea that pride is only a vice is something that has always bothered me anyway. And considering your own position on Destiny, making it somewhat equivalent to Tyranny seems somewhat apt. And yes, this story is amazing. i have a new author to follow.

I've thought long and hard about interpreting vices in their most positive light after how Greed was portrayed in Full Metal Alchemist (especially Brotherhood).
I had no trouble connecting Celestia to Pride, but Luna --> Tyranny was tougher. I made the mistake of connecting it with events in the show rather than looking for a reason within the story.
Ch 2 was a snoozefest.
