On the Study and Application of Advanced Carnal Magic

Strange how the similar section on fimfiction and the stories within already know what I am publishing, given their recommendations.

I will have a new story up tomorrow! One of three planned for the immediate future. I'll likely have to post it while I am at work, as I am mentally enslaved to post stories at a very specific time in the day. I've titled this blog post--

    They Always Come Back...

    This is... a little awkward.

For the sake of being concise, I am going to try and keep this blog short short, which is not something I am very good at doing. I don’t talk at all in real life, and on the internet I talk far too much.

    untitled

I have no idea what I’m doing right now.

The cavalcade of thoughts I’ve gone through in the last hour were as varied as the types of sand. Pipe wrenches, garbage, books, family, screaming, job searching, Dunbar’s number, grilling, cats, soul-crushing apathy and anxiety, debts, arguments, swearing. A lot of things in a short amount of time.

Reader Poll: The Crafter's Name Sudden Death (CLOSED) · 1:29am Feb 21st, 2013

VOTING IS CLOSED

By the time the Crafter's Name poll expired, I had deadlocked votes for both Daedalus and Steve.

Well, I can't have that. Here's my solution. I will accept the very next name I receive as the official name. Will his name be Steve, or Daedalus? That's up to you.

Any first posts will be automatically disqualified. Don't push my buttons.

Daedalus, because it has a much longer and epic history than Steve. I like Steve, but Daedalus is better.

You have decided the fate of this story, mortal.

Dang it, so close. Oh well, Daedalus it is then.
Yeoman, out

Daedalus would be an awesome name, but there would have to be an awesome reason in the story for him to get it.

I am taking third option :
Real name : Steve , nickname called by ponies without knowing the real name : Daedalus
If you arent pleased by my 3th option, then pick Daedalus and go along with it :)

I'd say steve, because Daedalus is a bit... Removed from what the sort of world of minecraft represents.

Of course I can pick one. There are already clear "Ages" for names in the show, with Starswirl the Bearded being a key example. It stands to reason that there is a more primitive form of the Greco-Roman era. I've already used such a concept for one my characters.

Thanks to those who voted for the clearly better Daedalus. (Just kidding, Steve would have been fine as well. It only really matters that the name makes sense.)

Whoa, I'm surprised Daedalus actually won as competing with a canon name isn't exactly an easy feat. Then again the Daedalus of legend was pretty hardcore so it's understandable he would garner some attention.

However settling such a close competition with a Sudden Death round! Apparently Journeyman takes delectation in watching the struggle of puny mortals.
But should the opportunity present itself a street hobo must be questioned for fun, if only satiate my unnatural craving for such knowledge...

Daedalus works, because... well... I never thought Steve to be so afraid of anything. I think of Steve as almost a master-crafter of Minecraftia.
Master-crafter: Is nearly immortal, has defeated Enderdragon AND Wither. That's how I see a Master-crafter, after that comes Crafter, then Minecraftian (not as many possibilities as Crafter has), and lastly, Testificate.

Oh! AND A QUESTION:
Can ponies understand his writing and other way around? I mean, no one has seen what he's writing yet... and same goes to him.

Don't worry; we'll see him crafting more soon. Also, I do have a language for him, something I mentioned a couple of times. All I need is a scanner to scan some glyphs. I have plans for that, especially when Twilight gets her nerd on. That sounds dirty.

The stumblings of mortals pleases me greatly.:coolphoto:

I am surprised how much attention I am garnering in general. Outside of a small handful on Fanfiction, I believe my story is the most popular Minecraft fanfiction there is. Not so sound like a sand panda, but I think I will be glad when this story is finished. It's eating up a lot of my time and I have a few other projects I'd like to start. Three in particular and a collab are on the back burners right now.
