    An Evoker Update

So this is the last blog post update I will make before I actually start posting the chapters that will begin the second arc. I have decided I won't tack anything on to the back of chapter eight, so there will be a chapter nine. However, it is coming along slowly, and after rereading one of the chapters I want to use for later, I realized that Evoker needs to meet the rest of the mane six, or

    Another Update

As you might have noticed, I recently posted a new chapter. And anyone who is reading the story probably thinks it will be a while until the next chapter comes out. Which isn't exactly right. I have two of the next three chapters mostly written, the first and the third. The first was written recently, but the third I wrote back when I was first starting this story (along with a chapter I may

    Finals are over!

So my finals are done. I feel really good about them, and I will definitely not be stressing over it. This also means my free time will skyrocket until my job starts up a week from Saturday. That said, I will do my best to try and write a chapter this weekend. Don't know if I'll write something I'm satisfied with or if it will be good, but I will try to have it out. And if not this weekend,

So I just learned something amazing

So I was on one of the many sites I go on and I discovered something interesting that made me do some digging. According to what I found, Doctor Who is doing a 50th anniversary special that will air on November 23 of this year. It will involve the tenth and eleventh Doctors, Rose, and current companion Clara 'Oswin' Oswald. This will quite possibly be the best thing produced by Doctor Who, and

Fighting is Magic Received a Cease and Desist · 3:30am Feb 9th, 2013

This is just something I feel needs to be put out there. Mane6, the team behind Fighting is Magic received a cease and desist letter from Hasbro after about two years of working on the game, at least that's what I've heard. Now, I originally wasn't even going to give the game a second look. I had even made a joke or two at it's expense. I mean come on, the show is about friendship and their first thought is 'let's have them fight'? Really? But it kept getting attention, and it kept getting better and better. Then came the day I read this. It was this article that changed my opinion. The article made me realize that this game has had a lot of hard work and effort put into it. Two years of production for a non-profit fan made title that set out not just to make a name for itself in the MLP community, but the entire fighting game community. And Hasbro just shuts it down like it's nothing. This really seems unfair to me. I feel bad that they put so much work into it and suddenly Hasbro told them they could no longer do it. It's like if suddenly Hasbro came in and decided they didn't want any fan-fiction being written anymore (which they can totally do even with your little 'I Do Not Own' disclaimer). If you are a fanfiction writer, you'd be crushed. Or at least feel disappointed.

Now this isn't all doom and gloom. They are seeking legal ways through which they can continue production of the game, but as far as I know, the only option would be to get a license to use the characters from Hasbro. I'm not sure if Hasbro would even consider it, but that seems to be the only option. Who knows what might happen in the next few days/weeks/months of this though. It may turn out OK. But if they don't get to finish the game they put a lot of work into, I'm going to feel pretty bad about it. Here's hoping Mane6 will be able to finish their game.

A company can make a copyright claim on fanfiction? If they do that then Hasbro will reach Sega levels of stupidity. :ajbemused:

Welp, Aloer. Here it is. Look at what happened this week.

An ugly AlicornTwilight toy.

All the bonus material for the documentary, gone. Because of pirates...

And now this?

Tis a sad week.
