Ever happened to you the moment you look back on something and you realize to have been a little too melodramatic? Yeah, I guess I needed a Rarity after that one. The thing is, I'm a writer. A writer has to adapt and evolve to new things and you know what? All hail Britannia and Princess Twilight.
I started writing because I have fun doing it and that's it. In fact, it's thanks to this fandom that I started writing again and I guess I'll keep doing it. The show has done something really ballsy and the fics we write have to just evolve and accept the changes, not feel somehow invalidated by them. Just write, write and write to your heart content and everything will be okay. Sorry for the little outburst, but after a bad day like that one, we all just want to release the pent up frustration.
Still not changing my mind about Twidash, though.

Believe me goblins have nothing on the infamous Tuckers Kobolds. They are infamous for their decimation of high level parties in old school D&D. Think about it high level adventurers saying "you know what how about we not go into that cave and do something else" just because it might be that clan of kobolds? That is pretty sick stuff. May not be as famous as the head of Vecna but still...
