I'm not dead, nor have I been incapacitated. Every time I set a schedule, life makes it abundantly clear that it disapproves.
My apologies for the lack of updates. I've been so frustrated with having no time or energy to write that I cut myself off from a few things, this site being one of them.
The chapter is coming, but I'm not going to be so foolish as to estimate when. I ask for your patience and understanding.
On that note, I'd like to make a note here about some rather mean PMs and comments I've received. I'm happy you're enjoying the story so much that the absence of new chapters really agitates you, but come on. I write this for fun, this is not my day job, nor is it a legally binding contract. I can't put this above the rest of my life. I know most of you are very cool about it, but the mean ones really get to me.

With all the other stories I follow, I have plenty of things to occupy my time while I wait.

Well, I for one understand completely. You get around to writing when you get around to it and no sooner.
No worries, mate! I can understand if you're in a squick of trouble; those boffins that run the Universe love to make our plans go all pear-shaped. It's bum-rags like them what makes me wish I were British, instead of just typing with British slang. Glasgow is a pretty cool place to live, so I've heard. Wouldn't mind dropping in for a spot of tea, me.

It's all good. I'm excited, but I can wait. I understand completely. Keep doing what you gotta do this brony can wait as long as he needs to. I've got plenty of stuff to get done myself.

Bro, us fellow writers have your back. We know what it's like, whether sometimes your just not feeling it, life taking a pissy pill, or procrastination. Take your time on it, you rush and people will think its crap.
Story is awesome. Blog post explains lack of update. It's all good. Plus, a good chapter takes time. I will be awaiting the chapter.
Just ignore all of the angry people. I have seen to many good writers stop writing because of all the harassment they receive. You are to good of a writer to loose.
I, for one, don't mind a long wait.
It just makes it that much sweeter to when a chapter releases. Don't sweat it and make it up to us by writing the best Faust-damned chapter you can!

To hell with the anger, that's not what the show taught us! We need to be patient, because I would feel downright heartbroken to get an angry PM telling me to "get on that shit!" I would feel my heart sink lower with every hateful word, and perhaps think about the bad things that have been happening recently. I would probably cry for a while.
But we can't have this happen.
Let's not turn Dawn into my somewhat hypothetical self.
Let's give him time to be happy with his life and write fics with gusto!
Let's put him in a fic-writing mood!
Let's do some questionable things while we read University Nights again!

I hate waiting, but sometimes i have to wait for good things. this is something that definitely shouldn't be rushed. i'm having a tough time just writing my next chapter for my story because i just cant seam to figure out where i want it to go. it be interesting if you decided to fit the hate mail that you get into the story in some way. i would find it kinda interesting to read how someone from UD (university days) or any of your other stories would get through it. Anyways, I'm looking forward to your next chapter from UD and hope that you will find time to update it soon.

As for the story I think we can all wait, I for one know what it's like to have life slap you in the face and say no.
Dawn, Im new to the mlp fanfic scene and I would like to thank you with all my being. I stared reading this from 10:13 pm and paused for sleep at 3 am. Got up at 8 and finished the latest chapter at 11am. Im not a slow reader, its just that I loved each chapter and overall enjoyed the story. I even acted out the scenes where psych was councilling. I love you and your entrancing stories.
Dawn I gave to thank you so mutch for this story, you have put a bit of hope into me, something all my friends have been trying for years. I love these story's and I have been readying them and nothing else for that past week, you have shown me so mutch I didn't know about love, and for that I thank you from the bottom of my heart
your stories are epic, and works of art that deserve the praise they receive. i think that the haters who either cannot wait or cannot understand that are jealous that they cannot make such amazing works of art. its much easier to hating ponies that way.

I rember reading this till like 4 ( I have sleep problems) loading the rest of them on my kindlexand read them on the bus to and back from school. Sorry if I fail an typing the toutgh screen is a little jiffy on the kindle.
I gotta say Iove this fan fic, very good job, dont worry about the lack of updates as they say never rush a master-piece.
i'm just glad to know the story hasn't been forgotten and you haven't lost your desire to continue writing it. This is very engaging and has me grinning almost the entire time (except when i'm supposed to be appropriately sad XP). As with many things we love waiting is the hardest part, but also the most rewarding for those who do. I hope you don't let those who aren't good or polite about waiting turn you off from this because you're really good at it.
so before you had even gotten chapter 14 out i had almost forgotten about the story. But last night i decided to read it again and i read from chapter one all the way to 18. I was up till almost 5am reading this because i was so engaged. I just really cant wait for the next few chapters to pop up.
