Calm Before the Storm: Plans

So my newest story: Calm Before the Storm, inspired by JWoodony's song: Calm Before the Storm, has gotten some pretty good reviews as well as good comments.
Now, I am aware that there is no backstory and that this was entirely built from scratch. Building it from nothing and just gave it an ending, but still not giving it a beginning. Honestly, I wasn't planning on doing one for two reasons: I had no plan for it, and I didn't have an exact reason for the said war.

I have given it some thought, and decided to place a small vote with one of my editors. He said that there are a few ways that I could go about this, but he knows my habits when it comes to... Many things.

He says the following:
You can continue from where you left off by adding an epilogue describing the past in Rainbow's POV and have it lead up to her being on the mountain, and you can also make a completely different story to elaborate on what happened through each event. Maybe you want to start off way back and have each chapter represent a year or so. This can give you the opportunity to work on any OC character development, and have a well developed plot.
Since you do take a long time to update chapters [DayP], and you seem to be busy with school at this moment in time, if you want to add the epilogue or start a sequel that goes into the past, finish the story first, or get very close

So this is what I plan to do:
I'm going to create a sequel, or rewrite it, and get the story finished or close to finish before I release it. That's the plan, I don't know when I will be able to start.
