Uncertain Death

A friend has asked me to boost this one. The long and short of it is that Catbox, an image-hosting service, has been unceremoniously kicked off of Patreon with no attention paid to the appeal and could use some help staying in the black. Good image hosts are hard to come by in the age that coined the term "enshittification," so feel free to support this one, or at least spread the word.

Read about this one elsewhere, and based on that the owner has said (in a blog post about the problem), it really comes off as targeted removal efforts. Because Catbox apparently doesn't have a service provider to file reports with--they host everything quite literally in-house--the efforts were instead aimed at the site's Patreon and Ko-fi donation processors. My speculation is that someone got butthurt over something that was hosted on Catbox, demanded it be removed and got a firm "GTFO" back (or, worse from their POV, just ignored entirely), and went off on a tear in response.
