Words Written This Month: Approximately 8,220
Stories Published: N/A
Author's Notes: I've started making a habit of trying to write almost every day when I can. The good news is that my daily wordcount seems to be going up, but the bad news is that it's led to various off-topic ideas that I've been jotting down. I'm trying to focus in, but only time will tell.
I have managed two chapters on Project Kaiju: SUPER which just leaves one chapter to go. I'm hoping to get it done before a certain movie takes off in July. Unfortunately, this coming month has several video game-related things happening, so I might be a little more than distracted. I'm hoping to resume work on other, more pony-related stories as soon as I can.
Blue Nine's Checklist:
Doom (2016): A game that needs no introduction. And somehow, if it does, it's a game about killing demons and hellspawn. There's some platforming involved, but it's mostly cathartic demon disemboweling and shredding.. I wanted to finally get around to it this month in honor of Doom: The Dark Ages releasing, and I'm planning to work through Doom Eternal next year so I can pick up The Dark Ages by next Steam Winter Sale. Always a recommended.
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity: Steam isn't the only backlog I have. I picked up the original Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition at a flea market and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The Warriors series is basically an RPG where you fight hordes of enemies along with bosses, gather resources, and use those resources to fulfil quests and requests in the overworld that benefit your team. Age of Calamity features time travel shenanigans and the rewriting of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild's Hyrule's fate. Some people didn't like the time travel stuff, apparently, but I loved it. It's also a lengthy game--I just beat it today. I'd recommend the original Hyrule Warriors for beginners (think a Smash Brothers-level cast, but Legend of Zelda and an RPG instead) but I really liked Age of Calamity. (Should also note, there's also late game/postgame DLC if you want to extend your time a little.) And once again, I wanted to get this out of the way before Age of Imprisonment got here later this year.
Up next: In honor of the month, finally finishing a Super RPG full of Lesbian Animals and living the life of a spaceport janitor.
Thanks so much for sticking with me thus far. Here's to whatever comes next.
-yours truly,
