Happy New Year, everyone! I had hoped to get more writing done during the Christmas season, but was unable to, due to family obligations. It's alright, though. My family and I get along alright, even if we don't have as much in common as we used to.
I added something to my user page. I included a box which collects some of my more popular blog posts for easier access.
It being the first of the new year, now seems like a prime opportunity to do another "ask me anything." As a disclaimer, I reserve the right to avoid answering anything I deem to be too personal. I'd encourage everyone to browse the two previous "Ask me anything" blog posts before asking a question on this one. I promise to respond to every comment.

I am currently working on several stories at once. In my earlier fanfics, I would post a new chapter as soon as it was ready. Now, I'm waiting to publish new stories until I have nearly all the chapters of a story completed. I promise to have some new content released before too long.

The next Lyra and Bon Bon's Odd Jobs will involve Lyra and Bon Bon house-sitting for Twilight. They'll run the library and be in charge of story time with the cutie mark crusaders. It will be rated appropriate for most ages, so, needless to say, it'll be a drastic departure from Frisky Fillies.

This might be a silly question, but how do you keep yourself motivated? I have lots of distractions in life and it feels like I never have energy to write. Any advice on how to psych yourself up?

How do you approach a story? What I mean is, do you write outlines, mind-maps, things like that to keep your projects in order?

1. The weirdest thing that's ever turned me on? I don't know if it's the weirdest, but there's one short flash never fails to give me a boner. I don't consider myself to be a chronic masturbator, but when I first watched this, I climaxed three times in one sitting and was still hard. Here's the [NSFW] link.
2. Fluttershy is best pony. (I'm quite excited to see her role in the Return of Discord episode.)
3. Twilight Sparkle is sexiest pony. There's something about a bookish librarian that captures the imagination.
4. Would I be the victim of a character's grimdark fanfic so I could meet them? Probably not. In spite of writing 120 Days of Blueblood, I don't consider myself a sadist or a masochist in real life.
5. If I found Rainbow Dash in a box, what would I do? I would question why my life had turned into an overrated fanfic. Nothing against the author, of course. I'm just not a fan of that particular story.
6. Best Princess? I love them all, but if I had to choose... I'm gonna fudge the rules and pick Queen Chrysalis. Changelings FTW!
7. Best background pony is Lyra, with Bon Bon, of course.
8. Best foal? I'll go with Sweetie Belle. Something about her cracking voice I just find adorable.

My human in Equestria story has been in the works since August of 2012. It's required weeks of research, but it'll be one of the best stories I've ever written. I have no idea when it'll be finished. I'm working on it while also finishing up other projects.
You know when an idea's good if you're excited to write it. All that matters is how it makes you feel.

The easiest way to stay motivated is to find the time of day when you're most inclined to write. For me, this is early in the morning after a good night's sleep. For others, it may be late at night. Whatever the time, be sure to write when you feel the most motivated.
Sometimes you won't feel like writing a particular story. You may be sitting down to write a funny comedy, but nothing is inspiring you. Instead of succumbing to writer's block, switch to a different story. If a comedic piece just isn't clicking, try writing something more dramatic and dark. Put your comedy story on the back burner and returned to it once you've found the proper inspiration.
I make outlines for my stories. Just a few broad sentences to give some directions.
A sequel to Flutterbox is not out of the question. Big Mac doesn't want to spread his cheeks for a stallion, but Fluttershy convinces him to do a three way with her. I'd probably have a vote to see which stallion joins them. It wouldn't even necessarily need to be a stallion. Iron Will could get the job done. His dialogue's also fun to write.
Blue Breeze is an awesome editor. He's so prompt; which is good, because I'm impatient.

1. My best fanfic? I really like all the new ones I'm currently working on, as I feel my writing continues to improve. If I had to chose one, I'd pick Lyra and Bon Bon's Odd Jobs. It was the first story I wrote that became featured. It's also spawned several sequels and spin offs that are currently being worked on.
2. My worst fic would probably be Ponyville's Triple Threat. It's not a bad fic, per se. I just limited myself by imposing a time restraint. I would rather take my time with a story, as opposed to rushing it out for the sake of a deadline.
3. How do I prepare to write? I review any notes I may have scribbled down before I begin. I also try to avoid any music, movies or television. I find them to be creatively stifling from a writing perspective.
4. I think bad stories need to be told how they can be better. No matter what the premise is, any story can be written well. Critiquing why it's bad isn't nearly as effective as offering solutions to fix the issue.
What do you think of episode 11 of Season 3? The one where my sister wants to reform Discord.. Predictions? Thoughts? Ugh.. What is my sister thinking, bringing a monster like him back?! Excuse me while I go have a word with her.

Have you read the final chapter of Frisky Fillies? There's not much I'm unwilling to write. I do consider real world racism, bigotry or antisemitism to be beneath me. The lone exception is the homophobic OC's I made for the Lyra and Bon Bon's Odd Jobs series.
