The Seaquestria Volunteer Group, or SVG, was a group of volunteers and Air Force personnel who gave up their citizenship and ranks to fight for the crystal empire. Captain Terrmar was the leader of the group and led the group himself in the air until 1915, when Seaquestria joined the war. Terrmar led the group from the ground, training new pilots and renaming them The Hellhounds Escadille. They made their mark during the battle of Derdun, regaining air dominance and flying dangerous close missions. After the battle, they were sent to the Crystal Empire for refitting and home defense from 1917 to the end of the war. They were the most combat-efficient air squadron of the war and the first mercenary air force. After the war, their citizenship and ranks were restored, and they were given medals from both the Seaquestria and Crystal Empire governments. Their stories would inspire future books and movies about their exploits, 234 combat missions, most of them bombing and reprisal missions over the changeling lands. They were issued blood chits in case they were shot down, and the civilians could help them and be rewarded for helping them evade capture
