'Shroud of the Familiar' Carrd Site & Book Update

Hello, void. Any y'all still have a pulse? :trixieshiftright:

A few people asked for updates about my upcoming book mentioned in my last 'official' site journal, so I decided to retcon what I said like any seasoned writer has done from time to time. :trollestia: I am officially gone, but I will be making major updates here for those who are interested.

The End of an Era, New Beginnings

This has been a long time overdue but a recent fan sent me an in-depth appreciation message that has gotten my butt in gear. This is likely the last blog post I'll ever make on here so if ever you're to read one, please make it this one.

AO3 Account + Helluva Boss Story

Hey all, just a bit of an update blog.

I've finally polished up my AO3 account after releasing my latest story there, my first one for Helluva Boss and my second non-pony story in literally years. I am very proud of it, so I encourage you to check it out. I blew through this story in a week, something I've not experienced for over a year.

Any Other Writers Going to CiderFest?

I'm planning on attending my first CiderFest this year, and I'm applying for a panel, there. I have a lot to say about platonic affection's importance in humans and its wide prevalence in the fanfiction of our fandom, being sort of a specialist in it. Ideally though I'd like to have one or two other co-panelists to help guide and create discussion both among the panelists and with the audience.

'Shroud of the Familiar' Carrd Site & Book Update · 5:06am April 29th

Hello, void. Any y'all still have a pulse? :trixieshiftright:

A few people asked for updates about my upcoming book mentioned in my last 'official' site journal, so I decided to retcon what I said like any seasoned writer has done from time to time. :trollestia: I am officially gone, but I will be making major updates here for those who are interested.

As of May, Shroud of the Familiar is at 52k words of an expected 62-65k, 25 of 31 chapters and an epilogue complete. :rainbowdetermined2: I have a fandom-familiar but professional editor waiting in the wings for the first draft to complete, and am continuing to get concept art of my characters for both reference and personal inspiration.

Check out my card for the book at a glance as well as some of the cute artwork acquired so far! And like the site says, follow me on Bsky for more book art commissions.

Dropped a follow! I'm always interested in where you're headed next n_n

I am rather curious. What happened to your original website? I can't find it anymore. I'm namely looking for it so I can get any updates on your books.

I let the lease expire for now because it was expensive and I need to rebrand anyway. I'm trying to distance my professional writing pen name from NavelColt, both for clarity and wanting a fresh start separate from specific fandoms. NavelColt is way too niche and specific for what I want to do, now. :twilightsheepish:

It's really nice to hear some people were following the website though, my priority right now is finishing the book draft but once I'm waiting on my editor I'll see about working on the website for when I have the funds to renew it. In the meantime book updates will be through Bsky.

That is so awesome to hear. Can't wait to see what you do.
