The Sonic Paradox - Teaser: Time Travel

Sonic started to run ahead, far beyond than Zephyr Heights and even Bridlewood, far beyond than any place he has ever visited so far ever since he's staying in Equestria. He just kept running faster and faster and faster. Everything around him seemed like a blur passing by when, in reality, Sonic is the blur here, the one blur everyone's watching move faster and faster as he runs. Sonic's

Mario Kart World is not worth it (as of now)

Guys, I just witnessed the future of gaming. Not in the "wow, this changes everything" kind of way, more like the "oh cool, now I can fall off the ceiling instead of just the sides" kind of way. Yes, Mario Kart World is finally out on the Nintendo Switch 2, and the Internet lost its mind like Nintendo just gave birth to sliced bread.

    Happy Birthday, Sonic!

Nothing else to say. Today marks the 34th anniversary of the Sonic franchise, so I'm making this little post on it.

Why a Nintendo Switch 2 Edition of Smash Ultimate Should Happen Before a New Game · 9:20pm April 25th

Alright, folks. Let's talk about Super Smash Bros. Ultimate again. You know, the game that makes your joy-cons drift with tears of joy and your Switch fans scream louder than a PS4 running Skyrim with 800 mods. It's the game that dared to ask the question, "What if we made every character playable?" and then answered it with, "Let's also add Steve from Minecraft and make everyone on the Internet collectively combust."

But now here we are in the golden age of "we're not quite done with the Nintendo Switch, but here's the shinier sequel console"—the Nintendo Switch 2. And what are we getting? A 4K update for Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, because obviously, Zelda needs to be the benchmark for "pretty enough to make you cry when the Master Sword breaks again."

Kirby and the Forgotten Land is getting a new story expansion too—probably about Kirby realizing he forgot another land. And Super Mario Party Jamboree? Oh man. It's adding new features that will be enjoyed by tens. Maybe even dozens. Of people.

So with all of that, you're telling me we can't get a Switch 2 Edition of Smash Ultimate? Excuse me while I make a call to Sakurai's house using a banana.

Reason #1: It's Already Ultimate. So Let's Make it Ultra Mega Ultimate DX HD Turbo

We already have 89 fighters, 110+ stages, and music that can only be described as "Nintendo's Greatest Hits, Volumes 1 through 300." Why would we throw that away and start over with a roster that cuts out half the cast just so we can unlock Wii Fit Trainer again like it's 2014?

We don't need a new Smash right now. We just need this Smash with a new coat of 4K paint, faster load times, and maybe—just maybe—a graphics mode where Toon Link's eyes don't look like he’s seen some stuff in Wind Waker.

Reason #2: The Adventure Mode is Great… But It Could Be MORE

World of Light is basically a big board game where you fight ghosts of Nintendo characters who are cosplaying as other Nintendo characters. And honestly? That's beautiful. But then they went and added 12 more DLC fighters who just appear like they accidentally wandered in through the wrong dimension.

I want a Switch 2 edition that lets us fight as them and unlock them through an actual plot.

Imagine this: Joker is sneaking around several locations. Steve builds a dirt house to survive the apocalypse. Sora is too anime to die. Boom. Explained.

Give us some actual cutscenes, dammit! I need to see Sephiroth dramatically stabbing Galeem while Cloud watches from the corner like "not again."

Reason #3: Fighters Pass Vol. 3, Baby

We've got Banjo. We've got Steve. We've got Terry. We've got fucking Sora. But do you know who we don’t have? More.

We can go deeper. What if we added:

  • Tom Nook with a shotgun
  • Funky Kong on a hoverboard
  • Phoenix Wright, who wins fights by yelling "Objection!" until the other fighter just leaves
  • And Reggie. Just… Reggie.

Let's be real, people would sell their kidneys for a third Fighters Pass. Nintendo doesn't even need to ask. Just tweet a picture of a flaming Smash Ball and say "more soon" and the fanbase will go feral.

The Conclusion (Or: Why This Is the Best Idea I've Ever Had Since Buying Xenoblade Chronicles 2)

Nintendo already remasters everything. Mario's 3D All-Stars literally vanished into the void like a limited-time McRib, yet you can still buy one if you go your nearest video game store. So if you're already giving 4K love to your A-tier titles, why wouldn't you do it for the game that defined the Switch era?

Smash Ultimate deserves a second life on the Switch 2. And let's be honest—nobody's ready for a new Smash yet. Sakurai's still recovering from animating every Final Smash himself using only elbow grease and pure willpower, and he's too busy working on that new Kirby Air Ride game.

So come on, Nintendo. Give us the Switch 2 Edition. Make the graphics shinier, the adventure mode beefier, and the DLC DLC-ier. You've already given us "Everyone is Here." Now give us "EVERYONE IS STILL HERE, AND ALSO LOOKING BETTER IN 4K."

I mean, it would help justify the expensive cost.

Though with such big changes, I would also add some new characters to the base rooster (probably certain assist trophies and pokemon) like Kart Deluxe did, since they do contain some of the most requested characters
