I believe a quick explanation is due. · 4:02pm Dec 30th, 2012
Honestly, I know a lot of you are probably expecting an update to 'Shattered' sometime soon.
Unfortunately, real life has been shown to have a nasty habit of derailing my plans and mucking with my deadlines.
In this case, I happen to be going through one of the longest, most complicated, and most aggravating processes imaginable at this stage of my life.
Ok, well, I'm applying to colleges, and the essays alone are taxing both my time and creativity to the point where I can do little else. Not to mention, that's stacked on top of the continued presence of school, work, and other necessary tasks.
Well, the good news of that is that all this college application nonsense should be wrapped up neatly by January 3rd, when my last applications come due.
In the meantime, I'm working on both the next chapter of 'Shattered', as well as a one-shot fic for a contest I'm entering.
'Shattered' chapter: 1.2 K words.
Take your time. Every chapter thus far has been worth the wait, and I'm sure each coming chapter will be as well. I assure you I await it fervently, as I'm sure many others do. We'll be here when its ready.
College is more important, just do what you need to, we'll all still be here when you have time.
I agree with Lightning Shaker, focus on the college stuff.
I'm going through a pretty hard time also, with personal problems and family...I understand that you don't have time to get things done, and I respect it entirely. Take all the time you need, as that's what I'm doing myself.
No shattered for awhile? FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!
Well, I know how college application can be. It's very consuming and it's something that has a big impact so you should probably focus on it if you need to. We'll wait. Take your time.
Don't worry, man. We can and will wait for you. Just take your time and do what you need to do.
P.S. Nice to see someone else who isn't already a full adult, college and everything under his/her belt on this site other than me. Makes me feel like I'm not alone.
