The Three Horns: The Ghost of Trotston Hall (Preview) · 4:58am April 3rd
This is a preview for a story I am currently working on. I am having this idea since 2018, shortly before Season 8 started, a story about Dinky Hooves, Berry Pinch and Liza Doolots being three filly investigators who solve crime cases inspired by "The Three Investigators".
A little while ago, I woke up at morning and I had the beginning of a story playing in my head. It sounded innovative, I left bed to write it down instantly before doing anything else and while the words were still fresh in my mind, it made me think of my idea from 2018 and I realized that it is the start of this story.
I want to release a little preview for this story now, the beginning that came to me while waking up. I was originally not planning on posting this preview today and was going to wait a bit longer before I would do that. But things have been moving today in a certain way and..... they didn't move in the best of directions they could be moving to. I remain hopeful still and I move myself now, into a better direction and faster than before, because I don't want to give up.
I hope this preview will be a nice appetizer to you and that you can enjoy it, an idea long in the brewing and told about long ago to the ears of only one, very dear person and friend:

The Three Horns: The Ghost of Trotston Hall
.
.
Trotston Hall was a castle with secrets, they said. The villagers felt it every time they looked at the old walls, that were grown over with ivy and sprinkled with flecks of mortar across the time-worn façade. They saw lights flicker behind the windows that came from no magicity and no modern appliances on the stuccoed ceilings. They came from something much, much older, from something that was as old as the building, so the ponies of the village hushed among themselves, whispered in the dark hours of the night. The ponies who lived closer heard sounds at these hours that frightened them out of their sleep. Something is roaming the centuries-old hallways again, they said then.
But this building, with its crumbling ledges and its aura of mystery, was not abandoned. It was a hotel, in fact. One that made a rather respectable profit, enough to stay in business, at least. And it was a hotel with ghosts in it. That's what the village ponies said, at least. Do you like ghosts? No? Unfortunately, three fillies who really like ghosts come to this hotel for an extended stay. But don't ghosts make for an exciting plot?
“There are no ghosts in Trotston Hall!” was what the butler, who welcomed them, said.
“Yakshit!” was what Berry Pinch said.
“Horseapples!” was what Dinky Hooves said about it.
And “Total nonsense!” was what Liza Doolots said to all this.(To be continued.....)
