An Avatar The Last Airbender Story · 5:17pm March 1st
Hello everyone, I hope your doing well today, recently I have come up with some plans that I've been thinking over for a potential story where I could put Spike through the Avatar the Last Airbender series, it's one of my favorite childhood shows, and favorite animated shows of all time, and I think it could make for an interesting story, and was hoping if you were interested in hearing my ideas for it!
While I know I am already working on a lot of other stories that I need to focus on first, I do want to plan ahead for the future when I'm done with them, I've been going through some stuff in my life recently that has made it tough to right currently, but I'm doing my best to push through it, and with the free time I have, I think I could make a cool story with a premise like this, and if I know how to easily continue with one like this, I could make one like this work if done right.
My main titles for it are either gonna be called" The Avatar and the Last Dragon" which is to reference how Spike could be the only dragon within this world, and how they both feel alone about their positions and roles, or it could be called" Spike and The Last Airbender", mainly just to help show that Spike will be going through the Avatar series for it, while I like the first one a bit more, I was hoping to hear from you all on what title suits the story best.
My main premise for it is that sometime after Spike grows his wings after The Molt, Spike begins to question more about himself after seeing just how much Twilight and everyone else has been able to accomplish, while he's achieved smaller things like helping Ember become The Dragon Lord and saving the Crystal Empire, he still feels like there's more he could do, he's started to question just where he came from, and what his purpose is in life other then being just a #1 assistant to Twilight, they've all done so much for Equestria, and yet he's barely done much at all, and that's when things change for him forever.
After a prologue chapter about Spike going to his friends, and asking how they've felt about their roles and positions in life, something happens to Spike later that night, something suddenly awakens within Spike that makes his body glow with a powerful aura with elements of Fire, Water, Earth and Air flowing through him, it shakes Twilight's entire castle, and even most of Ponyville which gets the main 6's attention, but by the time they see where it's coming from, Spike. They're too late to figure out what to do in time, Spike is suddenly pulled from Equestria and the world he knows without any warning, vanishing from it completely, and leaving his fate unknown to the Main 6, and while they will try to figure out where he is in possible interludes between seasons of the show, where Spike ends up is one that will answer all the questions he has.
Spike awakens within the Air Temple, just before Aang, Katara and Sokka arrive within the room full of statues of Avatars from previous generations, he would've appeared through a portal within the temple, and would've been found by them, while scared on who they are and where he is at first, once he's informed of what's happening, with him being in a world that's at war with the Fire Nation and on the verge of defeat, he starts to understand just what's happened to him.
But what's changes is that not only has strange blue arrows like Aang's appeared on his arms and his tail, but he feels a new power within him that he hasn't felt before, one that's similar to Aang's, an he soon learns he can now bend Fire to his will which makes the gang question why he can do it, he clearly isn't from the Fire Nation or anywhere of this world, and with no where to go, he's allowed to go with them to uncover the mystery's of his new powers and why he's come here, setting up the rest of the story.
I think that be a very interesting premise for a story, and while I do have plans to reveal why later on, I think this story could work as a crossover with Spike going through the show and how he'd blend into it.
But I also would like to list out some possible ideas and story spoilers from here on, it's just to list out what I have planned now and what could change, and if you like these ideas, feel free to let me know if they can work.
Since Spike is a dragon in this world full of people completely different from him, one of the ways I could have Spike blend into the crowd is that he'd be given an ability to disguise himself as a Human to blend in with Aang and the rest of the cast after he arrived, avoiding suspicions about him from other nations, aside from the Fire Nation possibly, and making it easier for him to hide himself and what he is, and when their all away from towns and out in the wild and at certain parts, that's when Spike could change back into his Dragon form when the time is right, it would've come along with the new abilities he was given, and in chapters in between certain episodes, abilities like that could be discovered for future conflicts.
Now, here's some major reveals that might come into later in the story, not only to explain why Spike has powers like Aang, but why he was even brought here, and what his purpose really is, this is still all just my ideas, and could change overtime, but this is what I have planned currently that could make things really interesting.
When Spike first awakens his own Avatar State, likely at the end of Season 1 or maybe 2, Spike soon finds himself in a vision where he meets a few previous Avatar incarnations before him and Aang, and he soon is told that the reason why he even has these powers, why he's here, and why he was even born.. wasn't because he was chosen to be the next incarnation next to Aang.. but as a backup in case Aang couldn't fulfill his own destiny.
He wasn't born naturally as an egg, he was created, and the powers within him were sealed deep within him, and could only be awoken when the time comes, he never knew or heard about his parents because he doesn't have any, he was created in case Aang couldn't live up to his destiny as the Avatar, and given that Aang had vanished for 100 years while the world was still at war with the Fire Nation, the previous Avatars decided to create Spike for that very purpose in case Aang could never be able to do, and it would lead into an identity crisis for him once the truth is revealed.
He was sent to Equestria because they wanted him to be raised by someone they knew could help him prepare for his inevitable call, which is why he was found by Celestia alone, and why Twilight hatched and took care of him for his entire life. And the reasons his powers awakened within him, and he was brought to this world, would've been because of Aang.
When Aang awakened at the start of the show after 100 years, the power he had burst out triggered Spike's powers deep within him even from Equestria, and once Aang awakened, so did his powers, and that's when Spike was pulled from Equestria, and to the world he was created for the sole purpose of saving if Aang couldn't.
I think that would lead to some interesting conflicts about Spike's own confidence in himself and Aang once they know the truth, while they would eventually push through it, and both would fulfill their destiny's of defeating Ozai at the at the end of the show, it still could lead to very interesting conflicts of both confidence, identity, and maybe even depression for Spike once he realized why he's even alive in the first place, I think that could make for a very interesting story if I ever get to one, and if that sounds interesting to you all, please let me know.
That's mainly all I currently have planned for right now, while most of this could change overtime, I'm thinking this could make for a very interesting crossover story that has Spike go through such an amazing show, and if you all want to see that, please feel free to let me know! I actually really would like to make a story like this some day when I find the time, so until then, hope you all liked this premise and idea, and feel free to leave your thoughts if you wish!
I wish you good luck my friend
I've watched Avatar the Last Airbender on Nick, didn't like him because he was childish, (I get he's a child, but too childish in my opinion.) If Spike is more mature than Avatar and uses his powers well instead of showing off sometimes, I'll give this one a chance.
Will there be some references of Raya and the Last Dragon included in this?

No, it's really not connected to that movie in anyway, while the title might be a reference, the story itself will likely not include any references to that movie at all. It's just because I don't see any ways to reference it.
Hell yeah!! Go for it pal! That sounds epic as ever!!
