I‘ve Been Mulling This Over…

…Since releasing the final chapter of A SciTwi Shimmer Christmas and only getting a couple hundred views on it. Even though I thought about it before a few years ago when I released Love-Making As A Parent, this time I am considering retirement from writing fan fics.

Now, before everypony begins to freak out, all incomplete stories will be finished, as will the stories I announced that are in progress but not yet released.

One of the main reason that I‘m considering this is the time it takes. As I mentioned in a previous blog post, I‘m working on an LGBTQ+ romance novel which eats up a lot of time when I‘m not working. Another thing is that I‘d like to eventually put out content on YouTube on a regular basis, which will be eating more of my time. And there‘s the focus on my transitioning, which is a full-time thing by itself.

If I do end up retiring from writing fan fics, I won‘t be leaving Fimfiction. I‘ll still be here to offer advice and read what everypony has come up with.

But that decision won‘t come until late March or early April.

I can speak from my own experience when I decided to retire from making fanfics. Even if you disappeared from this site for 5 years before returning, at the end of the day, it's your decision if you want to continue this or not.

I know. I used to be able to land nearly 1k+ views within hours for a new story and 500+ views per chapter release in the same time frame. As of the time of this comment, it‘s been 5 days since I released Twilight‘ts Last Gleaming and it hasn‘t even hit 300 views yet.

I know the sensation. My best guess is that not many are aware you've returned or simply because of death involved. I'd rather not bore you out with the facts but its the best I can think of as to why your recent story has been like that.
