Catching up with courtesy notes · 8:05pm February 22nd
Since I post my Ponyfic Roundup reviews on my Louder Yay blog rather than on Fimfiction itself, I like to alert each affected author to the fact by making a comment on their story page. I call this a courtesy note. For various reasons I have fallen well behind with these recently, a failing for which I apologise. I am now making a determined effort to catch up, but it will take a little time to do so. I hope you will be kind enough to bear with me. Thank you.

No I don't, but I think it's polite. Guerrilla reviewing would be an option, yes! Just not one I want to go in for.

It might be PLEASANT imho to receive a note from you that you've reviewed a story. Just not obligatory imho.

Partly inertia, in that I've done that for over a decade. Partly because, when I started, I didn't really expect it to be a long-running feature. Partly because I can do one or two useful things I can't do here, notably linking directly to M-rated stories. Partly because I like the cosy atmosphere I've built up on the blog over the years. Partly just to be different!
