My LTUE 2025 Schedule · 8:00pm February 5th
Hey folks, just popping in a little earlier than normal this week to give you a heads-up because we’ve got just ONE WEEK until LTUE! That’s right, LTUE 2025 (Life, The Universe, and Everything) kicks off next Thursday, February 13th, and I will be there!
In fact, I’ll be there running right from the start, as I’ve got one of the first panels of the convention. At nine in the morning, which is why I’m desperately trying to adjust my sleep schedule right now.
Anyway, if you’re planning on attending (and you should be, this is one of those events that as a writer you don’t want to miss), here’s the list of my panels so you know exactly where to find me!
Thursday February 13th
For the Love of Dragons – 9 AM: From Eragon to Smaug, dragons are fascinating creatures. Some are benevolent sages, some are forces of destruction, and some just like to collect shoes. Which are your favorites?
Dog Save the King Benefit Anthology Launch – 11 AM: Join us for the official release of Dog Save the King, the 2025 LTUE Benefit Anthology. We’ll read some excerpts, answer questions, and have copies available for purchase and signing by many of the authors.
Playing with Grammar in Fiction: How to Break Rules Gracefully – 5 PM: Knowing how, when, and why to break grammar rules in fiction writing can be daunting, but our panel of experts will help you sort it out.
Friday February 14th
Mass Signing Event – 7 PM: Mass signing extravaganza! Open to the public.
Saturday February 15th
The Humanity of Nonhuman Characters: Equal Rights for House Elves and Wookies! – 10 AM: How to write nonhuman character attributes that connect with your (presumably) human readers. Explore characteristics that are less human and how they conflict with human characters within the story.
Naturally, I’ll be attending other panels to listen to the advice given (you’re never too old to learn) and explore fun topics, as well as be found wandering the halls of the con ready to engage with people, so even if you can’t make it to a specific panel, keep an eye out! And of course, there will be paperback copies of several books available for purchase from the vendor hall (or there should be, assuming the shipment arrives on time) so if you didn’t bring a copy to be signed, you should be able to get one at the con while supplies last!
All right, back to work on Armies and Accounting and my LTUE prep. See you (physically) in a week!
