Howdy, just a quick update regarding the fic. I haven't abandoned it, but I don't know when I'll have the next chapter out.
To be brutally honest I've been kinda burnt out on mlp for the last couple months. I've also had a really bad flu for almost as long, which I'm nearly over. I'll get back to writing when I can feel the spark for it again. Unfortunately whenever I try and force it, I end up taking even longer to write.
Anyway, I'm just writing this so you know I haven't disappeared. I know I always wonder what happened when a creator I follow online stops posting. I'll be back, thanks for the continued support and patience.
OH. I almost forgot. There's a new G5 comic out very recently about Cadance's origins (it's called Rise of Cadance). I was pleasantly surprised to see it was drawing on the same bits and pieces of extraneous 'canon' that I was. Prismia exists, and a lot of other things too. Unfortunately this comic isn't written particularly well and the facts in it somewhat clash with what I'm putting together, so I can't take any of it on board. It's fascinating that they finally went out of their way to explain Cadance's backstory after all this time.
If you like Cadance it's worth giving it a read, it's only 15-20 minutes of your time and I found it very sweet. It should be in comic stores now, otherwise you'll have to source it online.

Take as much time as you feel is necessary. There is nothing wrong with taking a step back from something you like if you feel like it's not working for the time being. I extend my patience and empathy towards you and hope that others do the same. Stay sane.
