Calling them "resolutions" is just asking for trouble, so I won't say that. Except that I just used the word. Damn. Anyway:
- Actually bloody well write stuff -- I haven't published a story here since July, and before that it was the previous July. I'm never likely to be someone who writes tens of thousands of words a year, but in days of yore I used to put out several shorts a year instead of just one. I'd like to get back to that.
- Enter a few more contests -- All but one of the fics I've published since 2021 were for contests, notably the Thousand Words one. I'm a little bit hindered by the fact that so many contests are shipping-centric, but what I think is my best story in recent years -- Echoes of a Song -- was written for a contest, so it can work for me!
- Keep Flashfic 150 on the road -- Actually this seems to be going quite well, with several newcomers joining in recent months. FF150 will reach its eighth birthday in April, and I really didn't expect it to get anywhere near that when I began in 2017.
- Read more! -- Yes, for reviewing purposes obviously, but ideally I'd like to read a little bit more for pure pleasure as well, perhaps return to some stories I particularly enjoyed many years ago and see if they still hold up.
- Mention reviews here -- I want (need) to return to the monthly summary blog posts where I note all the stories I've reviewed on Louder Yay the previous calendar month. When I did it, it seemed to work well and be reasonably popular, so I have no excuse.
- Reinvigorate Louder Yay -- In other words, make sure it's not just about fanfic. I've taken a couple of steps along that road, notably with a regular feature looking at fandom music that was big in 2015, but go back a decade and I had book reviews, comics news, even the occasional PMV or artwork spotlight.
- Finish my rewatch of G4 -- Another Louder Yay series, this has slowed to a crawl again recently, and it's annoying me. I started the rewatch soon after FiM ended in 2019, and originally the plan was to watch a couple of episodes a week. Now it's about a quarter that speed. I can do better.
