Welp, Happy New Year, everyone. In a few hours, 2024 will come to a close, and it'll be another twelve years until the next Year of the Dragon. This particular one has been... interesting for me, if not terribly monumental. Left Japan, got back into working retail, found a whole bunch of awesome new friends, donated plenty to charity, started making use of my local library, began taking therapy, completed some stories, and done more doodling than I have done in years. Nothing grand or exciting as far as my life goes, but I'm in a better state of mind than from last year, that's for sure.
I'm hoping I can break out into something new, more engaging for 2025. Whether that's a better job, an entirely new living space, or both. Maybe even meet the amazing people who make my current living situation okay. But for this final day, I'm just chilling, eating food, and doing a bit of art. How about your celebrations?
Here's to promising 2025. All the best, friends. Stay safe and have fun!
I trekked back home to see the niblings and have a birthday dinner for my Dad, despite a nagging cold he gave me for Christmas, the bastard.
Nothing wrong with interesting but not monumental I'd argue. n_n
