With so many beloved childrens fictional characters getting horror movie spin offs now that they're in public domain. Here's another guy who's gonna get his chance. Popeye the Sailor Man himself in a raunchy and gory slasher film.
A brief synopsis reads: "The legend of Popeye haunts a group of councilors as they intend to open a summer camp."
It sounds like Popeye is being reimagined as a Jason Voorhees-like maniac.

Not all cartoon characters are meant to be horror monsters!
Even Jim Cummings finds Blood and Honey to be "absolutely disgusting", and made it abundantly clear that anyone who decided to put his voice in the film would be in "very big trouble".

Out of respect for Jim Cummings, I refuses to watch any movies that portrayed Winnie or any cartoon characters as horror monsters.

Sadly, it is.
Horror DOESN'T have to be in all of fiction or other cartoons.
Especially where it makes no sense for Popeye to be a "Horror Killer" or anything.

Yeah, if anything he'd fit in more in an action flick...hell, a COMEDY!
