r/transvoice didn't let me post so I'm posting my voice feminization progress here · 6:09am Nov 15th, 2024
Here are some samples of me reading sections of my story "Hawker Culture". In order to accurately depict how I sound unrehearsed, I did it all in one take, so you can hear me stumble and repeat myself a few times.

My male voice (for reference): https://voca.ro/1j8ckzE0icly
I've plateaued at this voice for at least a few months. If I heard on myself on the phone, I would read it as "female, but something sounds wrong/unnatural". What do you read me as?
I have never used my fem voice in public or with another person. Absolutely zero times. It's terrifying
I don't know if any trans girl is ever going to sound perfectly natural unless you're like Ethel Cain. Most of them do have a rasp to them.
Honestly, I can't tell if you have that rasp even, it sounds incredible to me.
hey, you're doing really well! :D definitely hitting the fem side of voice!
...of course, I'm also reading your 'male voice' clip as just deep-voiced female c_c; I might not be good at this, don't ask about my voice

Aww appreciate it.
Ethel Cain’s music is really interesting. (Queer country?) As someone who grew up in Alabama, I can relate

I’ve heard of self bias because you’re used to hearing your male voice so your brain wants to hear that.

that makes sense!
