    I'm probably getting too hopeful...

So, Need For Speed Most Wanted 2005 is widely regarded as the best entry in the entire franchise, and the community has been screaming for a remaster or remake for over 10 years now.

    Well...

    Quick late-night update!

It's not quite ready to post, but I've been working on the next chapter of Roots of a Cold Heart tonight.

Just wanted to give you a quick update because I've been a little quiet. I've been working on Sonic and Freedom Planet content this week, and that's when I'm not playing Half-Life 2 and SWTOR.

    Happy Thanksgiving 2024!

I'm thankful for all of you.

I know I say that every year, and I will continue to say it. Because it's true. I really believe we have the best damn fanfiction site on the web, and I hope Genfic sees the light of day eventually.

It sucks about the fate of G5, but we're all still here, creating and offering feedback on various pony tales. In a few weeks, I'll have been here 13 years.

#BeatTheBacklog Update 1: Black Mesa Complete

My first #BeatTheBacklog game, Black Mesa, is done.

Never played the original Half-Life. I figured if I ever made the time to do so, then the plot of Half-Life 2 would make a little more sense.

Take a deep breath. · 3:09pm November 6th

Then, take another one.

To anyone shocked beyond belief, I hope you can develop some critical thinking skills.

From what I've gathered, the two big ones are:

Biden did not commit to one term after he said he would.
Dems gave up the incumbency advantage, AND ignored the primary process.

If you saw the reddit threads and tweets about how Kamala would take it in a landslide, but you didn't vote, that's on you.

This is why echo chambers are dangerous, and I'm not gonna lie, seeing those veils pierced by reality last night and this morning has just been a little bit entertaining.

Am I going to doom and gloom with a good portion of the internet?.

No. I'm going to go to work, just as I knew I would have to, no matter who won.

So to the Dems, next time, get a better platform than, "she's not Trump", because the results of that are now clear as day.

Because if you don't stop vilifying moderates, all we'll get is a repeat of this in 2028.

I say that as someone who voted straight left in one of the only blue counties in a red state.

We got the mid-terms to get through first. Let's see how those go. In the meantime:

Keep your eyes sharp, your ears open, and stay safe.

The fact that this has to be said out loud reflects A LOT on the state of humanity. 🤔

Well said. It irks me that Democrats yet again opted for a "Play it safe" strategy, despite it twice backfiring on them. Get someone at the top of the ticket who's not afraid to talk to the media and make themselves heard, someone who can articulate without tripping over their words, and someone who offers something other than "I'm not Trump".

Sometimes things need to crash and burn before people wake up and do something.

I'm not saying this because Harris is a woman, but because Harris is Harris, Walz would have performed better than her... at the top of the ticket, and dems might have had stronger options than him.

I drank the kool-aid the last few days that she would win but the fact that she lost the popular vote is a real kick in the teeth I wasn't ready for.
But you are right, been working today and posting cute art on blusky to cope. Worlds not going to end overnight and we can work to make it better.

It's a fair argument that Biden shouldn't have run for reelection in the first place, but the whole thing about Harris skipping the primary process just doesn't hold water for me. Harris' name was next to Biden's on the primary ballot. Don't tell me that you voted for Biden but not Harris in the primary. If the idea that the running mate of an 80-something year old man might have to take over for him isn't part of your calculus at the voting booth, you haven't thought it through.

What really frustrates me is not just that he won the popular vote this time (I can't even say that he never once had the American people's support anymore), but that the turnout was so much lower. You saw the consequences of sitting out an election after 2016: the death of Roe, a badly mismanaged pandemic response, January 6th. And 10+ million people thought it was okay to sit this one out?

Trying to convince myself to not jump off a bridge or something 😔

I agree. I was always going to vote for Harris, but adding Walz actually made me enthusiastic about it. Had he been at the top of the ticket and had the full campaign time I think he could have actually won back some of the ground that Biden and then Harris lost.

I couldn't vote this election because I don't currently have an I.D. or an up-to-date voter's registration card.

You need an I.D. to get a voter's registration card. The nearest place for me to get an I.D. is 45 miles away and I don't have reliable access to a ride. I'm what's called a disenfranchised voter, due to the physical barriers that are blocking me from getting my registration up-to-date.

I hope neither of you actually mean that. We've had shitty presidents before, including the one we're about to get. Just take it a day at a time, live your life the way you want with the friends and loved ones you have, and oppose the incoming regime in whatever way is reasonable.

Also, I genuinely believe that some in the "Own the Libz" camp would get a kick out of that. They don't deserve the satisfaction.

We've never had one this shitty. I don't see any reason to hope for better.

5814289
Yeah, I kind of do.

Tired of horrible POS rich people always escaping consequences for their sh*tty actions. Tire of living in a country where 50% of the population has no problem with said sh*tty actions.

I've spent most of my life fighting these same battles over and over and over and over again. Endlessly. I've pretty much had enough.

I don't mind people hating the Trump/Vance ticket. That fact doesn't bother me. Just so long as they don't try and memory hole the fact that the last 4 years have had their own distinctive flavor of hell on earth for the country and so many people living in it with Biden/Harris at the helm.

To be perfectly honest, I don't believe I hate Trump as much as I hate the Dems for royally fucking up their election approach for the last four years.

Not to mention letting that geriatric asswipe Biden go back on his commitment to stay a one-term president back in 2020.

That's when they should have started shopping around for an energizing, electable candidate.

But they didn't. Everyone got complacent, and we got what we deserved on Tuesday.

My view on this matter is Trump was not the first bad president nor will he be the last as I didnt throw a hissy fit like everyone else did when he got elected. I just accepted it and moved on.

Life goes on. You'll come across bumps in the road, but just keep going forward.
