Huh? What election? Nah, I'm talking about voting on story pitches on What If!
Yes, the time is nearly upon us! I've got two different 3k-ish word-long chapters ready to be posted (plus one shorter, scrapped chapter) that both serve as potential beginnings of a brand-new story!
Some quick things to mention:
- Yes, it's Fractures/Project Emphenom. Why wouldn't it be?
- Youbetcha there's some Gadget/Zoey involved.
- The fundamental difference between the two is that one of them (PE#16) starts off in MLP and moves toward original fiction, whereas the other (PE#17) starts off in original fiction and moves toward MLP.
- Technically you could say that this is the fourth attempt at Wielder of the Orb that I've made on this site.
- Multiple scenes and moments between the two chapters can be mapped directly between the two chapters, given that they're alternate versions of each other.
- The biggest difference between the two chapters is in roughly the third quarter of the chapter, where in one version Gadget gets separated from everyone else, whereas Zoey is stuck waiting with uncertainty of whether or not her mentor will emerge from a crumbling house.
- Regardless of differences, both chapters end in the exact same way.
- Once a pitch is chosen and a full story is published, the next chapter that follows will almost certainly be an introduction between Gadget/Zoey and Void Gadget.
