Even Changelings Get The Blues: Last chapter posted! · 6:47pm Oct 9th, 2024
Just a heads up to anyone who has been holding off on reading my first full-sized novel until it was complete: I just hit publish on the final chapter, and it's now ready for all-at-once binging!
Prepare yourself for an explosive Equestria Girls adventure-romance, as Human Thorax gets a glimpse of the wild world outside of Human Chrysalis' religious cult, meets both versions of Ember, falls in love, and saves the world along the way. 
It's a fantastic feeling to close the book on this one. For decades I've been a short-story author, making the occasional push out to NaNoWriMo novella length, and I now have proof that I can finish marathons as well as sprints.
So what's next?
First things first -- I've got another short story to drop, hopefully late Sunday night. (It's been done for a while, but I'm whacking my way through some needed revisions.) It's another, very different, tale of changelings in the human world which I wrote during an author's retreat last month.
After that, I'm going to go dark for a bit since I've made some editing commitments. But after that, I'm blowing the dust off of Hard Reset 2: Reset Harder, picking up where I left off. It's been languishing for a decade, and I want to bring it to completion.
I think that's one I can publish in chunks rather than wait-and-all-at-once. I've even got a few chapters queued up for it. But I want to do it an arc at a time, so that any further lulls will be at more natural stopping points.

Thank you! It's a big deal for me, too: now that I've finished a full sized novel in one big long sprint, I want to prove to myself I can make good on old projects, too. And I love what I was doing with it, despite (or because of) how much it broke my brain!
