Sneak Peek Sketch from "Murderous Machinations" · 2:10am Sep 14th, 2024
First, got a little treat for y’all: here’s a sketch of one of the characters in the upcoming Turing Test murder mystery story, “Murderous Machinations.” Say hello to Rio Grand, folks! She’s looking forward to meeting you…
This was done by my good buddy Colby “Greenfinger” Green, my longtime illustrator who did the illustrations for the other “Iron Horse” stories among other things. (He also has a Bluesky account.)
Also, got some great news: the story, after stalling out for an obscenely long time, is getting closer and closer to completion. I don’t want to name a date just yet at the risk of blowing past it, but let’s just say that I got a much-needed kick in the ass at a get-together with some of my fellow authors put together by the inimitable GaPJaxie. So it won’t be long now! (By the way, I beta-read one of his brand new stories, and it's really good! Check it out!)
And if you’ve read this far, I’ve got another sketch of one more new suspect character in the story. Meet West Walnut, and has he got a deal for you…
Keep your peepers peeled, folks. I think y’all are really going to like this one, and if you’ve been starved for some Turing Test, then I think you’ll be more than satisfied.
Seems like Green's improved since we all worked on TIH, if these are just sketches!
Can’t wait for more Maud and Turing
